I tamed a lvl 150 and it actually killed two alpha mosa at once granted we barely survived but still impressive and a must have in the ocean.

Honestly one of the best mounts. It takes on swarms of megaladon as if they were dodos and it doesn’t get stunned by jellyfish or eel. With it you can also farm oil from others basically making it the best underwater mammal. Also it’s cute, so an added bonus! I’ve named mine Marshmallow and on it the sea isn’t very scary.

I can only say that this guy is a legend. No one can win them in sea if you breed them with 3x stats. 160% speed and nearly 30k hp is really sick. You can easily clear any underwater cave.

I tamed one and it started making oil but the oil is purple but I take it out and more is made it looks like tuth oil

Special trait: mantas and ichys will surround the basilosaurus, protecting it. (When you feed the basilosaurus on a non-water creature, like a sarco, the mantas will attack, so be careful). Pro tip: find them on herbivore island, in the bay.

In ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED MOBILE, these guys can also make oily ink like the tusoteuthis(I am not sure with the other arks though). Refinable too already. Need not taming a tusoteuthis anymore ‘cause this guy does that work. Got one named Dolphy and he produces oily ink every few minutes. Max stack is probably only 29.

Want lots of fish meat? Well you’re in luck! Tame one of these bad boys and your set! (Warning mantas and megs follow these and will attack u when taming) once you got it tamed mount your fishy friend and kill Mantas,Fish,Megs,etc and you can get loads of fish meat! (Literally I just killed like 5 mantas and 2 megs and now I have 11 stacks of raw fish meat )

It is like diving with a guarantee. Nothing will scare you even if you have a low level of these beasts. Dont get too attached only danger is starving down there as you cant eat.

If you aren't too lazy to breed them you aren't too lazy to get the best option for any underwater cave. They will take a very slight amount of crush damage in some caves but that's nothing to a basilosaurus with 20k health

#4 The reason they are hard to tame is that the have paparazzi group of mantas and dolphins and when you attack and or feed them the mantas get

#5 They passively make oil that you can find it in their inventory

A little fact: If you have a basil and you are in the ocean and got dismounted from your mount (like an ichy) and you have a tamed basil with you , make him follow you and swim directly to the surface.The basil will follow you and push you up wards (if it doesn't, just make it swim close to the surface and just swim/climb onto its back) your welcome! :)

These things have an insulation ability so when riding one you won’t be cold in deep water, however when in deep water they will start to lose health so be careful

Lost my girlfriend, almost got fired, lost a week of sleep, spent over a hundred bucks, but I did it. I raised a fifth generation Basilosaurus. I would say it’s definitely worth it considering it does about Giganotosaurus damage and we did the speed and stamina stats right and same for the hp and all. Really, it’s all we need nowadays. Btw fifth gens can kill alpha tusos if yer careful, well really if you did stats right no need to be careful.
