Lost my girlfriend, almost got fired, lost a week of sleep, spent over a hundred bucks, but I did it. I raised a fifth generation Basilosaurus. I would say it’s definitely worth it considering it does about Giganotosaurus damage and we did the speed and stamina stats right and same for the hp and all. Really, it’s all we need nowadays. Btw fifth gens can kill alpha tusos if yer careful, well really if you did stats right no need to be careful.

Do not underestimate this tame. My lv 37 just took down a 120 alpha megladon. The surface heal buff is the real deal.

Generates oil over time, thats pretty useful. Idk in what speed tho

These things have an insulation ability so when riding one you won’t be cold in deep water, however when in deep water they will start to lose health so be careful

Must tame!! These are amazing! Just in a one day trip into the ocean I gathered 820 bio toxins, 443 silica pearls, 1000+ raw fish meat, and 41 oil. I encountered alpha Megalodon too and took it down like nothing with the basilosaurus! It's now level 35 and its health is 5557.2 and melee damage is 329.9%. They're absolute tanks!

These guys are though! I tamed one and we were attacked by 6 megs and my bailasaur killed them at level 5!!! 6 Megaladons!!!!

I don’t know if other people have experienced this but in ark mobile (or maybe other ark variants) but if you use potent dust on Basilosaurus it knocks them out for some odd reason.

These are great under water tames , they can produce oil and are immune to the jellyfish and eels of ark as well keeping you warm great all-round water mount

Very good midgame water tame for before you can get plesios, mosas, tusos,etc, lots of health, good damage.

Wild ones are easy to kill, give a lot of prime and oil

Uh I just found something quite OP about a basilosaurus. It has 2400 base health, while the mosasaur has 3600 base health. However, a Basilo gains 480 health per point (wild) while mosasaurs only gain 432, meaning that, at higher levels, a basilosaurus will usually have more health than a mosasaur of the same level. The only tameable creature in the ocean with a higher health than a basilo at higher levels is a tuso.

Mine has over 40k health ang killed a plesi 2 sharks and a school of angler at low depth...hardly put a dent into it... Health and melee mainly with a few in stamina and go wreck face with these

The reason why basilo is immune to jelly fishes and eels, because oil

They are way stronger than I thought, I tamed a lvl 20 and it had over 3k HP and I was able to killed three megalodons lvl 90, 100 and 120 at the same time like it was nothing!

For mobile users its a passive tame if you dont know he eat therizinosaur kibble and and it's very slow when it tamed by meat. also it make oil in their inventory but when it get to 20 remove it because it well be so slow. it's powerful and have good health for the sea but it's stamina is bad level up in stamina. thanks for reading

When tamed it passively generates a natural version of oil that slowly spoils, unlike normal oil. Also, it can only generate up to 20 oil until you take the oil out of its inventory, then it will continue to generate oil. I’m on console by the way, not sure about mobile.

They’re very useful water tames. Even though taming them is a slight pain (second feed takes forever, but after second feed it eats more often) they’re worth it. They are immune to the jellyfish, they cant get grabbed by tusos, and they provide insulation to the rider.
