Useless if under lvl 100 no weight health or melee if 115 or above u can get more bang for ur buck. I use mine for cave run on multi maps it’s a must have tame for the water you won’t want anything else just remember their slow but if you can get their speed up to 115 to 125 your good to go. If I had to sum up my experience up in a couple word it would be the king of the sea!

If you are on mobile you can get a itchy(dolphin) and the mantas won't aggro on you, you can feed it from the itchy at least that is my experience saddle unlocks at level 60

All you need to tame it is a itchy and some raw fish meat

I found good method. Attack it,lure it to the river, place 2 behemoth gates on each side, and tame. Easy

Use kibble and use baryonyx Also focal chilly

Step1-make focal chilly

Step2-get you basilosaurus near land

Step3-feed it and swim to land so manta cannot kill you

Step4- get baryonyx in water and do spin attack and kill the mantas and tame the basilosaurus

Step 5 eat focal chilly and tame it

Step 6- put saddle on it

Step 7-take it for a ride

Lure away the Manta and kill them. From there, you should be able to start taming it, the only worries now is the surrounding, make sure to watch out for nearby predators.

Basilos are great for harvesting Biotoxin, getting a high level Basilo should be able to kill most of sea creatures.

I don’t know if it’s a glitch but the one I tried to tame lost all the taming percentage when it touched the outside barrier so I can’t seem to tame them. I don’t know.

crossbow the mantas, to lure them away. swim and kill with land dino(i used wyvern lawwl).

Bring soothing balm from the south cave and it only took 8 fish meat for a lvl 15

I tamed two and i will tell you a story how

So i was riding my ichthyosaurus i saw a basilosaurus i swam up to it it said feed raw meat to tame so i took the meat out of my ichthyosaurus and i fed it while riding the ichthyosaurus and tamed the male basilosaurus then i saw another went to see its gender it was a female so i tamed it the same way

ALWAYS BRING ICHTHYOSAURUS’S!

When you get to like 50% tamed on this dude it the bar starts going down when you use raw fish meat I couldn’t tame this guy so... i killed it😔

To tame ride on a ichy and feed it prime meat and normal meat (don’t feed it fish meat). They can be found in the shallows of herbivore island

Don’t tame at a level lower than 45, It will take forever to get the saddle!!! (Required Level 60)

Or if u have a ichythosauraus, just ride it while having food in hand

Confirmed at least to me that going away from it between feedings appears to make it go quicker.

Tame it on a icthy so sea flap flaps don't kill you

There will be tons of aggressive mantas around the Basilosaurus. Bring a Baryonyx to tail whip the Mantas, then kill them and you should have no problems trying to tame the Basilosaurus. Or use Bug Repellant.

Tamed one during a 2x event and it took 24 mins not 12 with kibble, it was level 145 female
