Sooo when i tamed my first basilasaurus on valguero i feed it raw fish meat cause i forgot regular meat but before i tamed it i drowned..... but i came back with my icthy (my second strongest water dino hense the fact i was tring to tame a basilasaurus), got my stuff, but when i went looking for the basilasaurus it was gone. But luckily i found another one, tamed it, brought it home and jever tamed another basilasaurus...... but i did tame 2 x-basilasaurus breed them and lived happily ever after! Super worth taming them though!!!

For these guys try to get a megaladon or Baryonx and kill all the mantas and if you have kibble easy tame but if you Don’t try to protect it

If you are taming at herb island put a spino really close feed it once than when the mantas come after you use your spino to kill the mantas

1.kill all megalodons,mosas,dunkleostius,

2.tame with meat or prime meat

3.once tamed quickly go to safe spot for it

To tame easy just get sarco and saddle, whoosh past the basilo and feed at same time rinse and repeat.

Just give it some meat it will be tamed in no time and it’s very useful I had one of them take down a megalodon I think idk if it was just a different type of shark

Baby’s must be in deeper water,20-40 ft, or they go thu food faster than you can feed.

If u feed it with mantas near it they will attack you

It's a passive tame, no need for an extremely elaborate trap

One trick that works from time to time, after the first feeding leave render distance for a minute and return. Not 100% but usually will cut the wait time from the first and second feed.

Do not hit it while taming and keep every hostile away. Hitting it will make it loose it’s taming percentage.

They are at the island cove in the lower right hand corner just kill the mantas and megs when ur taming it

Rey's swarm them you need to kill them before you tame the basilosaurus

Easiest way to get rid of their flock of mantas is use a barry to stun and kill them, they can also keep up with the basilosaurus, kill any sharks or other creatures easily and oxygen isn’t a stat on them

If you see manta around it they will attack you if you feed it
