Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a basilosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a basilosaurus.
I'm taming a basilosaurus if you go to deep the taming bar will go down like mine
Don't use kibble to tame, using mutton will give same effectiveness and you don't have to sacrifice any eggs. Using mutton is also a lot quicker as mutton doesn't give as much food as kibble so the basilo will starve quicker so you can feed it again.
Theese things are the most op underwater dinos i h've ever seen.. ( Lv 150 Basilo > lv 250 wild mosa) and i killed Alpha mosa with Over 200k hp with my lv196 Basilo no healing 1 Vs 1 Loll
Easy way to tame a high lvl 150 basil but still takes time.
Step
1:Find a ovis but don't kill remember where it's at or the spawn area it spawns around. If not available make sure your able to get raw prime meat and be ready to get it.
2:Tame at least a lvl 90 itchy with ovis meat(Raw mutton but make sure it's not the only ovis you found or use raw prime if not then regular meat but track it in case using tracking feature under your taming progress tab) pump speed in itchy aka dolphin
3:Find a basil of your choice and lead all the mantas away and sharks far away do not rush it
4:Feed the basil one meat of any kind to set it under your tracking progress tab
5. As you track the basil you would be able to see his food stats going down, this is going to be your timer for the next step so be as quick as you can but you do have about 15minutes so don't panic
6. Find the ovis(Rawmutton) or your prime meat and harvest it once harvested cook it into cooked raw mutton or cooked prime meat
7. You have until the basil's food Stas is at least around 15000ish and once their you can then stuff the basil with whatever meat with only 8 second intervals in between feeding him the meat in your last slot in your hot bar
8.be sure to keep away sharks and mantas even if you have to attack with your itchy hit and run the opposite direction of your basil so they are chasing you
It very easy to tame u will need to
Find and don't kill it feed 40 raw meat
Around 70 95 on ragnarok i found three not far from each other and in the same time
I was taming a itchy and found one and apparently they eat dodo kibble(this was mobile) I have not tried to tame one with dodo kibble but I might have to test this maybe this might help new players who come across this big noodle
Try using a kapro to pick the mantas out of the water
If you look around herbivore island you can spot a few.
Sanguine Elixirs work!! You MUST first have your feet planted on some sort of surface. One might be able to use it while mounted on a tame, while taming a basilo…. But I haven’t tested that out. What I can confirm is that the elixirs work for imprinting baby Dinos and boosting imprint to 100%. Get your baby to 70% or higher, (assuming you have a water platform, setup with a Dino pen for water dinos) set your babies follow distance to lowest, head over to where your stairs breach the surface and find your footing. Once you’re sure your feet are planted and you’ve confirmed that your baby basilo is near by, pop the elixir and it should all work smoothly. 👌🏾 I need to test it for wild basilos, but very rarely do they ever go to any surfaces… so I might have to mount a tame and swim alongside it…. Hopefully it’ll be close enough to the basilo to trigger the elixirs effects. Good Luck Arking.
Wanna tame this usefull
Step 1:get any other under water tame
(or if your lucky you could find one in shallow water)
Step 2:get a ton of fish meat
Step 3:feed it and wait for a hell of a time
Pro tip:use any soothing balm to make it faster
Step 4: tame it
Step 5: get a saddle
Step 6:have fun with your basilosaurus
Rule of thumb for passive tames like this sucker, first bites to the rest have a ratio of 3:00 minutes to 0:30 seconds.
I tamed two today, a pink/white male named Moby, and a black/light orange female named Oilette.
Oilette’s first bite took 4 minutes, the rest took about 30-45 seconds.
Be careful when taming if there is a lot of manta around!
A good way I found to tame these are shooting the animals around them make them follow you for a bit and then ditch them (use sarco) and go back without having trouble.
Lead the mantas away and other hostiles. use baryonyx to stun and kill all hostiles. Then give it any meat and it tames very fast.
Use a Baryonyx to remove the manta around the Basilo and profit, really easy to obtain and useful tame
You can imagine my surprise when I found out that these guys were passive tames.
Ride Dolphin because Manta & Magaladon won't attack on you. If u ride Manta then Megaldon will attack on you.
STEPS :
1) Take Raw meat / Prime meat
2) Get on Manta
3) Feed . . .
DONE
If your going to tame these and your on mobile here’s a few things :)
Go to herbivore island, they spawn there.
You need to tame a ichthy.
If your on a ichthy no mantas will attack you when your around baslios many mantas are to.
I suggest you bring a decent weapon to protect you. Like a sword or some sort of gun just in case,
Very simple tame but only issue is once the Baslio is tamed the whole damn ocean comes after it so get out of there with your baslio quick otherwise you and the baslio will be murdered and after taming one you might wanna build shelter for your sea creatures if you haven’t lol
I have some tips on this guy.
They are good tames, underwater tanks, high inventory space, making you cool in warm places and warm in cold ones, and they produce spoilable oil (if you want oil just kill a wild low level to get lots of oil).
Taming this things is easy, tame a Ichthyosaurus, make a saddle, hop on, go to deep seas (near the herb island is the best), kill a low level one to get raw prime meat, then put it in your tame inventory to make them immune to spoiling for a bit more time.
Find a High level one and tame it, they took their time getting hungry the first time but from the 2 one they get hungry pretty quick.
This guys are very cool, they make a very calming sound, but they have a BIG problem, this things get attacked by any wild thing in water with no reason.
I once got inside of my underwater cave with my Ichthyosaurus and I heard the fight sound track, I came out and saw 10 mantas, 5 megalodones, and 5 electrophorus killing my basilosaurus :(
I lost my 590 oils, 5k hide and 5k fibre and my journeyman’s compound bow :(
R.I.P my level 50 basilosaurus 🪦
