What are tips for basilosaurus? Tips and strategies for basilosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Am I crazy, or are basilos eating any kibble on mobile rn?
Easiest way I know to tame them is using a baryonyx after first feeding use the stun attack of the bary to stun and eat the manta''s then you should be good just pray no more manta's arrive they've cost me a near perfect tame on one twice.
This was my 2nd water (as in ocean since I have 8 kapros) tame ever I have 2 of these for me it was easy to tame I grabbed my dolphin and went looking once I found one a swam close and fed it raw meat the mantas did absolutely nothing I ended up with2 of these.
I spent like, 30 minutes trying to tame this, and then the taming levels started dropping super fast. Has this happened to anyone else?
I found a max level basi at the shores of the South West tropical islands right next to my base. Roughly 80, 30. Ofcourse it had the usual mantas and a couple of Megalodons. But I was able to take them out in the air with a compound bow and sinomacrops. Afterthat, easy taming. Use exceptional Kibble for faster taming! They take a long time to get hungry the second time. After that, itll tame quickly
Ima lvl 47 and tamed one with my itchy named pyrite this things a beast I got attacked by a group of megs bc I dismounted and he savages them like they were paper
I recommend using a sarco, or a high damage icthy.
1. Gather food of choice, and a fast or high damage water mount. Scuba Gear is NEEDED.
2. Using your mount, find a Basilo, go up to it and aggro the stingrays (if their aren’t go to step three), swim not to far, turn around and kill al the stingrays(there are a lot!).
3. Once all the mantas/stingrays are gone, go up to the basilo, get off your mount, and feed it your food of choice (foods options are in taming tab).
4. Repeat feeding process until tamed
Happy Taming!
First I thought it was aggressive, so I trained it to tame it , I was wrong
I found mine while riding my itchy it was pretty easy tame I named mine bailey it makes oil so I don't have to look for trilobites I'm dont have a saddle for her yet but I really want to ride her
This is how I tamed mine and you can prob do the same
What I used-
. Mastercraft crossbow+ stone arrows
. Full set of SCUBA gear plus extra SCUBA tank
. Extraordinary kibble (I had a bunch and it gives same effectiveness as exceptional kibble when taming basilo)
. My lvl 141 sarco with levels pumped into damage and health
How I did it
Found a high level basilo, swam up to it, and hit one of the mantas near by. Once I did all of the mantas went aggro and followed me on my sarco. Once I killed then all I swam up to basilo and fed kibble. After that I waited for it to get hungry again and while I did I killed some more mantas/megs that were swimming near by. I’m not taking any chances. Once it was hungry again i fed it until it was tamed.
Also, when using kibble, if you feed a creature any rarity of kibble that is above its preferred kibble it will have the same effectiveness. I used extraordinary kibble when taming my basilo, and basilos prefer exceptional kibble so it did the same thing. Sorry if it was confusing but I hope this helps. Happy taming!
5 Tips for Basilos
#1 These are hard to tame and are a hardy tame
#2 They give a insulation buff when you ride on them
#3 They are a passive tame
#4 The reason they are hard to tame is that the have paparazzi group of mantas and dolphins and when you attack and or feed them the mantas get
#5 They passively make oil that you can find it in their inventory
A little fact: If you have a basil and you are in the ocean and got dismounted from your mount (like an ichy) and you have a tamed basil with you , make him follow you and swim directly to the surface. The basil will follow you and push you up wards (if it doesn't, just make it swim close to the surface and just swim/climb onto its back) your welcome! :)
If you are playing ark mobile then ride on a icthy because there is a bug where when your on an icthy you won’t get targeted by mantas and megladons
Use a baryonix to kill the mantas
I have a level 100 basil and when looking for a male to breed I encountered an alpha megalodon and like 4 high level megs near it. I took out all of them without losing practically any health. The male I ended up taming the male basil and it got the final hit on alpha Meg, just a side tip alphas give crazy xp my lvl 50 male basil got 30 points from it!!!!!
They often spawn in the shallow waters in herbivore island. Stego and bronto are the 2 close sources of prime meat there.
Ez tame, passive tame, don’t be scared of it
Instructions:
1. Get your itchy so Megalodons, and eels and or jellyfish don’t get you
2.Get a therizenosaurus kibble
3. Find
4. Once found just swim beside it and put the kibble and a whole pile of meat
5. Successive. Grab the saddle and enjoy a badass time and eat everything
Ps don’t go in deep water or it will take oxygen dmg
Lost my girlfriend, almost got fired, lost a week of sleep, spent over a hundred bucks, but I did it. I raised a fifth generation Basilosaurus. I would say it’s definitely worth it considering it does about Giganotosaurus damage and we did the speed and stamina stats right and same for the hp and all. Really, it’s all we need nowadays. Btw fifth gens can kill alpha tusos if yer careful, well really if you did stats right no need to be careful.
