Basilosaurus are passive tames, but they’re commonly surrounded by aggressive Mantas and sometimes Ichthyosaurs that can swarm and body-block you. Clear the escorts first with a strong aquatic mount, then approach the Basilosaurus to tame it safely.

On center you can find them in the water under the floating island in the middle of the map. Usually I can find about 3-4 there. Be careful you'll encounter Megalodons and Mantas. Sometimes even alpha Megalodons.
