Tips & Strategies

What are tips for basilosaurus? Tips and strategies for basilosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
For those who lost the basilo from those pesky sharks just cryo pod it (pc and console only feature) or get out of render distance and teleport it to your base (mobile only feature)
So I play ark mobile I am a starter but I used so ticket Soo.. normal day a basilosaurus literally spawn at the herb island WHICH is my base too so I thought let's kill him it would be a low lvl but literally it was a frickin lvl 435 I have a 15 balm I buyed kibble and tamed it.its littery my one of the favorite now
These guys can usually be found around herbivore island, but do be careful if you are on a raft because sometimes a leedsichthys can spawn around herbivore island and they will destroy your raft.
The rays are very annoying I went down about 9 times as the rays attack when you feed the basilo
I just went into super shallow water and it was right there. I killed the mantas and now am trying to tame it.
You can find them in dead in ragnorok so I recommend harvesting there body and get oile.
Timers are way off, do not suggest using them for accuracy on feeding times
Even if you don't tame it, it still gives you quite a bit of oil when harvested, as well as prime.
It can be found up north on the island but it is quite rare
The best way to tame the basil get some megs and let them fight the mantas and use an itchy to tame the basil dont forget to get at least 5 megs
Basilos are very easy to tame if you have the right tools. Basilos are great underwater creatures with many efficent capabilities. LikeI said they are really easy to tame if you have the right tools. To tame you would need any meat to feed the basilo, but megalodons, mantas, and ichys follow them because of their of how they eat. So you would also need an ichys or any fast underwater creature to swim around and feed the basilo. I recommend when you feed it swim away and wait till it is hungry then go and repeat.

I just tamed a level 150. Took about 30 min. Tamed to level 221. Am on official, also i wasn’t prepared well. You should definitely Use its kibble, that is definitely the best way. The taming bar went up 10 each kibble, but i had only 3 exceptional kibble.
So i finished the tame with raw mutton.
I had to kill every things around it first. I used an andrewsarcus. Had it on follow and passive.
Very important : the sanguine elixir didn’t work on the basilosaurus.
I know booooooooo
When tamed be careful these things loose next level health the deeper into teh water they get so having one of these by ur underwater cave base is not good
I have tamed one called Beth Smith and she kills parasaurs that go in the water, she has 6k Health, but not only does she get hit by Mantas and Icthys, (non-suprisingly) but she gets chomped on my Megs too! (suprisingly) That's funny cuz I tamed her in a Meg pod that didn't care! While taming I lost my Icthy. RIP Inez Lantus.
Grab an Ichty, get some meat or kibble, feed it, go away (not too far) and come back, it should make it starve much quicker.
It also works for other creatures. When going away from it, just make it intender and go back, if you go too far it will loose the taming bar.
U can tame it...But it takes time for higher lvls. But with some patience,U can get it.If ur even not have the saddle engram,It's useful. It can get natural oil through its inventory and u can even kill it for instant oil...But I recommend using icthy for taming and killing one...
Easy way to tame get ichy then find one then megs and mantas don’t argo(only mobile players)then tame. Enjoy 😊
I have tamed one whale (in wild it had 125 level) in ARK:Mobile with common meat, prime meat (it was near the Deadly island with big populations of carnotaurs and argentavises) and special balm. With me were baryonyx and ichthiosaurus. I have stunned rays with baryonyx and kill them all, and after this I was feeding the whale.
Now, I have an 208lvl basilosaurus and it is imbalance! I'm fighting off megalodons, I'm sinking mosasaurs! Giant squid? Bash it! Jellyfishes and electrophoruses? Smash it! Alpha predators? Crush it! 23,600 - health, 1500 - stamina, over 200 - basic damage, and near the surface its health regenerates very quickly. The coolest underwater animal for me!
