If u have tranq darts and 150+hp u can tank its hits whilst firing constantly and whilst doing that have an icthyornis killing fish

For god's sake don't ruin your bary's taming effectiveness with fish meat or prime fish meat, just make regular kibble. It's not that hard

If you want to tame a baryonyx trap it at night then go to sleep then knock it out and then when you start taming it it's taming bar will go up far.or you can get pachyrhinosaurus kibble and feed that to it.

How I tamed on mobile (emphasis on “I”)

- place 4 foundation, place a door, build 2 walls high on the foundation (should look like a topless box)

- hop on your argey

- pick up bary with argey

- put bary in box

- K.O. bary (either with tranq thingys or just club it, whatever works for you)

- realize you can only feed it fish

- hop on water mount and swim around hoping to find a whale dude to scrape prime fish off of

- can’t find one so go back to your base to check that bary is still K.O.Ed

- see that bary is still out cold and go fishing

- finally come back with your fishy meat and give it to bary

- watch it absolutely devour the fish in seconds cause it’s starving so it tames really frikn fast (unless they just normally do that lol)

- name your new baryonyx and have fun

Side notes:

I think bary’s are only carry-able in ark mobile

Be prepared (unless you wanna follow the instructions exactly lol)

Best way to tame them is place a bear trap (not large) then shoot Bary and make sure it goes in bear trap. Then give it raw fish. No narcotics needed.

This dino is very useful for caves. Heres how you tame it! Yiu need to build a 2 × 2 stone trap with doorways. Its kinda fast, so beware! Whatever you do, dont approach it in water while its swimming, because its special attack is a tail whip that will stun you for 10 seconds. It eats fish meat and required regular kibble (on pc and console) and pachyrhino kibble (on old phone ark). I really hope this helps. Good luck taming, fellow dino nerds

If youre gonna use the hunger method you can sleep for 7 hours (in game) and it wont wake up

Reminder: if you’re a noobie and you knock one of these guys and raw meat (the regular one) it will not work feed these fish meat for beginners knock these out with a slingshot or trans feed raw fish meat congratulations you have tamed a Baryonx!

I brought it back to some spike walls and just sat behind them and shot maybe 10 darts and he went down and when I used him for the first time I lagged out in the water and he died to piranhas 😭😭

How to tame a baryonx simple method:

1. Bring a pterandon with you and also bring at least 20 fish meat and 10-15 tranq arrows just in case plus a bola

2. Find one in the swamps or rivers

3. Go near it (not too near itll attack you)

4. Once it chases you, lead it somewhere safe where there are no other predators or creatures that are roaming around

5. Dismount, bola it, tranq it

6. Feed it tame it and there you have a baryonx

On mobile the Argentina can carry it

Get a longneck rifle 3-7 tranq darts and 1500 health summit this tip to let people know and it eats fish meat and prime fish meat remember to submit the tip thank you

I know you can set up traps, but so far I've had the best results by just shooting it in the face with tranq darts; don't bother running/kiting it though, it's rather fast so just bring armour and make sure to eat.. seriously keep eating, your gonna need the health bonus if its a high lvl.

Ps: currently breeding mine, they all eat fishmeat! Even th babies, recommend having an extra bary on aggro by a lake! Good luck taming and/or breeding these weird little creatures!

I was in a sever and I saw a bary working with a swarm of mega piranhas— don’t ever get near a swarm with a bary or you’ll die and u can leave crying for ur mosa

Always fight them on land and if your a newb lure them to a pair of trikes or something more dangerous.

You can KO it in the water, it will not drown. I tranqed it on a rock with it in the water, but it couldn't drown.

How to tame barys

One: get ten fish meat and one smooting balm (if you play ark mobile)

two: find bary on an river pr swamp. I going to da river cuz swamps are full of titanaboas and kapros and get a bear trap
