It's not common but these guys and spinos can spawn at the end of the river in southzone 1 and boy was I stupid to try and bola one to tame it. Of course I ran into the water thinking it slow in water like the others. My dumb little ass was corrected in 2 seconds. I later tamed the same guy and named him Bartholomew and he was amazing one of my best ark memories. I later deleted the save after I lost everything in a accident involving a thyla and now in my new world with my cousin we have a lvl 180 And a 200 named berry and gerrymandering. There best friends and it the best duo ever, they got 35k hp each and 2k damage % (were on 2x settings since my cousins only 9 and not ready for mental torture that is ARK on base settings. Up for ark being one of the best survial games.

Baryonyx are actually pretty easy to tame. You can bola, and then knock out. Just don’t tame when I’m the water. They’ll stun attack, and then you’ll be stuck. If taming a super high level, then I definitely recommend using either soothing balm or kibble. I tamed a level 120 female without anything other than fish meat and ended up severely nerfing her. Then, I tamed a level 100 male, used soothing balm and prime fish, and he’s kick a$$. Fast forward to their first kid Nomu (RIP), he had only 75 percent imprint but was freaking awesome. Unfortunately, he met his match with a level 55 alpha Rex and a cliff. Fast forward after killing the Rex with a ptera, I bred again and 100 imprinted the next baby, named Mangrove. She’s unbelievable. 808% attack and around 200% speed. Her attack goes up by 18% and her speed by like 3%. And good health. It goes up by like 400. She’s freaking great. Better than her dad. Anyways, I cave with them, and kill, and travel both inland and in water. They definitely have around a raptors speed, Rex’s damage, and spinos semi aquatic ness. Just tame properly, and don’t nerf the way I did.

So I have a baryonyx named Ragnarok and he is a theri killing machine and even rexs are petrified of him. He was worth taming, now onto the story which he is alive.

So me and ragnarok we in the swamp looking for something to tame because I got bored and I get unmounted by A STUPID LITTLE KAPRO and I kill it with my journeyman sword and then another one attacks me and I kill it and then I realize that he is gone but I remembered about the thing called requesting for a tamed creature. He lost over half of his health by STUPID LITTLE DEATH NOODLES CALLED TITANOBOAS so.... yea

The Story of Baron…

It was a dark night on the shores of Ark Mobile. This was my first time playing Ark seriously in a while. I had little to my name, a triad of Dilos and a Parasaur at most. I decided to go exploring, I had nothing else to do. That’s when I found her. Across a forest on the shore of a river was a pristine level 80 Baryonyx. I quickly bola her (bolas work on Barys in Mobile,) and tranq her out. I feed her, but one raw fish meat only does one percent. This does not stop me, as I retrieve my soothing balm from my small thatch shack. I feed her the balm and before long, she is mine. I named her Baron, a strong name. At the time, I was living in the Footpaw, around South Zone 1. I eventually move to a rocky cliff near the Red Obelisk, a place I call Sarco Falls, due to the waterfalls and the abundance of Sarcosuchus. I was too low a level for a saddle for Baron. While living at this location, Baron gained two new friends: A green Sarco named Starch and a red Raptor named Mako. These two and Baron formed my team of ARK warriors. One night, I move into the swamp to find a new base location in the redwoods. In the swamp we gain two more members of our team, Thunder the Paraceratherium and Crowbar the Beelzebufo. They accompany me as I make my way to the redwoods, and keep me safe as I establish a base near a lake. For a while, Baron stayed at home. She didn’t see much action until I unlocked her saddle. I brought her to the cave where the Artifact of the Hunter laid, as she was the only strong dino I had that I bring into a cave. I had not planned on using her for long, but once I saw how strong and bulky she was, I knew I’d use her for a while. Baron was adept at gathering chitin, and since I had not yet unlocked flak, chitin was the best armor I had. Baron and I ran that cave many times. One day, Baron and I swam over to Craggs Island. We were looking for a Therizinosaurus, and this island was the perfect location to trap one. But it went downhill quickly. I needed some bio toxin to keep the Therizinosaurus asleep once I tranquilized it, so we swam out to gather some. We found a pack of Cnidaria and attacked. But we were soon overwhelmed. Baron was stunned and I was kicked off of her back. While we attacked the Cnidaria, megalodons attacked us as well. I was near death so I resurfaced to the shore, providing support with my crossbow. But it was no use. Once all of them were dead, I could not find Baron. But I did find her item cache. She was dead, and it was my fault. I logged off ark for the night after that…

After a few weeks, I came back to ark. When I got on…I heard a Baryonyx growl? And there she was. Standing in front of me. I hadn’t saved! She was alive. Me and Baron rule the ARK, and forever will.

I'm on mobile and I don't have enough time to get super into breeding but one day I had a couple hours to spare I decided to breed my Bary. Her name was Fish Breath and up until that point she was my ATV of mounts. Good for the water, good for land, and while she can't fly without cheats I bet she could fly pretty good too. So I partnered her with a high level Bary and out plopped an egg...that egg would be all I'd have left of Fish Breath as while it was hatching, I did a cave run to and lost her to a meglasaur and sarcoptic. I barely escaped with her implant and made it home just in time to find Fishy Jr ready to hatch. It was love at first sight and I got to say: I'll miss Fish Breath but dam Fishy Jr is 10 times better than her.

I tamed one once and named him bary. Me and bary where going to herbivore island. When we got their my freind and me knocked out a anky to tame. My freind went out on my bary to get food for him when he was on his way back their was a giant squid!!!!! When he was about to get back on land the squid grabbed him!!! It killed him in two hits😭 i killed my freind like 15 times in a row😡😡😡😡 R.I.P. Bary😔😔😔😔

Let's talk about Covid-19. Now bear in mind, this is where I'm going to let out a ton of anger. So I caught Covid-19, I keep waking up in the middle of the night. I'm extremely exhausted and feverish. When I woke up at 12:00, I couldn't move. I was hot and tired. I could literally feel my neck burning, all because of fever. I had gone to bed a bit earlier that usual, about 7:00. I thought that would help me if I got tons of rest. But I felt horrible. Then I fell back asleep, wishing this was just a nightmare. But I woke up once more. This time I drank the rest of my drink. Then I fell back asleep. I woke up again, I took a wet washcloth and put on my face to deal with the fever. And I fell back asleep. I woke up again, 4:48. This time I just waited until I could get up. Now that I'm up, I decided to share my story.

Tamed one of these guys, could never get a name for her and all the other amazing poop-related names were taken. Eventually I was trying out swimming with her and it was going pretty well, I wasn't dead yet, got off to go grab a underwater supply drop and had to murder a couple of megs with my ridiculously powerful sword, then realized I was drowning, she was deep in the ocean fighting another meg and I was literally yelling "BUDDY!? FRIEND!!" on repeat, hoping she'd kill the meg so she could come over and save me. I eventually got to the surface on half health, then headed back down to go get her, who was violently spinning towards me. Her name is now "Buddy, friend"

I used my Ptero called Jet to look for a Barionix and when I found it I used my Argentavis to take it to my base/taming location, Somehow I didn't realize Jet ended up dying in the process... I tamed a level 150 Barionix, but at what cost...

Once I went with my baby Bart in the cave near her I isle then I got lost and since I was dumb and forgot about reaquest, I tried jumping over lava and falled in it, 😭 0.3 seconds after I deleted and reinstalled the game for the 4th time 🙁
