The Ultimate Guide to Baryonyx

They are found on The Island, The Center, Ragnarok, Extinction, Valguero, Genesis Part 1, Crystal Isles, Genesis Part 2, Lost Island, and Fjordur

There is also an Aberrant Baryonyx that can be found on Aberration, Valguero, and Crystal Isles

They can be picked up by a Karkinos, Queztal, or a Wyvern

They are very fast and strong on both land and water and can do a tail spin stun attack while they are swimming

They are useful on The Island, Aberration, Genesis Part 1, and any Non-Story maps (u should tame an Aberrant Baryonyx if u are playing on Valguero or Crystal Isles)

Easy to tame. Pretty much all you have to do is lead it into a stone building and trank it from a distance don't forget to put wooden spikes around to keep raptors away

Have you ever had a thought that you said couldn’t happen and then happens 2 milliseconds later?Thats what happens to me.So one day I was chilling over by the ocean with some wild trikes on my solo server and I see a megalodon I think to myself “I’m glad that thing can’t walk on land” approximately 2 milliseconds later a baryonyx pops out yet pretty small it’s like a megalodon with legs so I noped out of there as fast I can hoping that those trikes killed it never went to that side of the island since. If you’re new to the deep sea, this thing is your best friend. They’re fast, have no oxygen bar, and have a stun attack that can stun the majority of aquatic (and land) creatures. (Keep in mind you can only do the stun in water.) You can also shoot off of the back of them while underwater, making them really helpful in taming deep sea creatures.

in mobile...whut is the swipe down skill do? swipe up is for special skill in water right?

You don't have too dismount too tranquilize anything while underwater and on land, went the safeway ahead and got three megalodons needing too tame a dunklo going too stay on the baryonyx not sure whats faster megalodon or this one

Great for cave runs. Can shoot of the back of them. Stun attack, bite attack, swim great and run great. Remember no need to sprint jump in caves, just walk forward and jump. It has a long jump. Eats fish very important. If you Dino leash it in water with fish can be set to find fish by itself

Everyone keeps saying that this Dino is the ultimate cave Dino, aquatic Dino, amphibious Dino and so on. I agree, but what they do not tell you, maybe because they do not know, is that this is the best Dino to help you tame creatures. How are they the best? You can shoot off their back. They can outrun almost any Dino so if you need to hit multiple tranqs it is useful (I tamed a Bronto with tranq arrows riding one) and if worse comes to worse, you can probably kill the creature you are trying to tame. Also any creature that is either faster than it or stronger than it you can escape from by swimming. One last tip, do not try to tame a gigantosaurus with one unless its movement speed is high because those are only found far from water.

And after this thing is crazy

Faster than a raptor on land and God level in the water it can tank megs like it nothing

I shot this guy out with 3-4 tranq arrows and what does he do? Runs to the ocean before he gets knocked out, and dies to sharks.

They can restore 500 hp instantly if you kill a fish in ASE, haven't tried ASA because I don't play it.

Wait this doesn't look so..... Run! Remember you don't have to outrun it, you just have to outrun your friend.

This thing is my fav dino of all time..it can breath underwater n u can use weapons while riding it ...not like other water tames where u can't even use maps

It is excellent in land too ..it can harvest large amount of fish meat

They should reduce the weight of raw and prime fish meat on this guy

On official do yourself a favor and kibble tame this guy if you use raw fish meat he will lose almost all of his taming effectiveness

Time for one of the most underrated tames out there.

How to tame a Baryonyx:

1. Prepare to tame this good

You need:

Tranq Arrows or Darts along with their corresponding weapon(Crossbow/Longneck)

6 Triangle Stone Foundations

12 Stone Doorframes, NOT A DOUBLE DOORFRAME

2 Wooden Ramps

Use a metal sickle on Sabertooth Salmon to get more Raw Prime Fish Meat

2. Find a high level baryonyx, no one will ever be as strong as Mr. Man’s Baryonyx named Baron, so don’t even try lol

3. Make a trap, put the foundations in a hexagonal pattern. Then put two doorframes on the sides then place the ramps on any side so you and the baryonyx can make it into the trap

4. Lure the Baryonyx into the trap..run towards the Baryonyx and let it chase you then RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Run up the ramp and through the doorframe,

5. Knock it out, it prefers Raw Prime Fish Meat.

6. Name your Baryonyx!

What can I say about this tame? Well..

1. They’re amazing for land because of their speed and their strong bite.

2. They’re amazing for water because of their fast swim speed and their special underwater ability to do an AoE tail swipe.

3. They’re amazing for caves because of their size and they incredible attack stat.

4. Cherish the king of the Baryonyx, Mr. Man. He requires blood sacrifices of 17 Cnidaria everyday

The only things this dino lacks are wings ... there are dinos that best at something, Barry simply good at everything except flying... he is still better flyer than Raptor though.

Can out turn almost every water creature, can outrun almost land creature, can show the punny raptors who is the big bro while can simply out turn the bigger land dinos as well.

He is like the swiss knife of Ark

If you play mobile and tame a Barry and it runs around killing every fish that it sees go to it and turn of seek fish on low health until all its health regenerates
