Tips & Strategies

What are tips for baryonyx? Tips and strategies for baryonyx in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
On Mobile, if you're traversing the island always travel near water cause they recover less stamina when their foots on water. And if something high level chasing you, just swim to deep water and they'll outrun almost every carnivore unless it's a Sarco cause wild Sarco seemed to have as a turbo on water. A must have tame for caving due to it's wide AOE damage and strong knockback. They can also protect you on Arthro's spit attack. And don't forget the spin attack that can stun even a pack of Megalodon.

Don’t hate me guys, but you can bola these in mobile. I tested it. It was scary, but it worked. You might wanna bring two, for when it runs away. Remember, ONLY MOBILE. Thank you all very much
I just tamed my first baryonyx. After seeing all the video in internet saying they are king of seas took it for the first time in water and saw jelly fishes so went near them. Then end of story. I was happily started the morning to harvest metal and Crystal with him .Sad He’s gone now.
Please don’t ever go near the jelly fishes with any Dino. I can’t even take back the saddle now .
R.I.P my Baryonyx who literally died to fall damage… I forgot I had health brews…
The exact level that had tranq arrows I tamed one. Forget the traps, just shoot it from the max distance you can hit it from. Then it will run at you, and get close to you right when you hit it the next to last time, causing it to run away. This guide is for low level players, if you have tranq darts just fire away.
If you are a low level don’t go after them unless you have a bola or two high level carbos
1,don,t fight it in the water.
2,stay put on wait until it comes close enough.
3,when it,s gets on land use a bola.
4,than hide behind a rock.
5,shoot tranq arrow or dart and then you tame it.
Really good early-mid game dino for moving around best to get a few of them not just one, very easy to level up
When using fish meat it drops the taming bonus for every bite
My three barys disappeared the other day, and I was going to teleport them back after not being able to find them, until I decided to get on my dunkleosteus to get some oil. I found my three barys at the bottom of the ocean surrounded in dead megalodons and mantas, and each one of them had over fifty biotoxin in their inventory. I’m guessing three of these guys are even enough for some overpowered blue jellyfish🤣
ASA trap for Baryonyx. Place a single stone foundation, on three sides put up tall single doorways, on top of the middle doorway place a roof sloping up and over the foundation, in one of the side doorways place a door opening towards the open side, place a bear trap down and lure him through then open the door so it closes off the open side. Happy taming
It can only be tamed by fish and only eats fish but it eats me kinda weird right

I was just trying to go back home with my para (I was lvl 15 that time). when out of nowhere a Bary popped up, I used my para to tank and damage the Bary (should've done something better).
When both creatures are low, I unmounted my para and started stabbing the thing, trying to save my para. Unfortunately, It killed my para before I killed it. My survival got harder without my para.
The Ultimate Guide to Baryonyx
They are found on The Island, The Center, Ragnarok, Extinction, Valguero, Genesis Part 1, Crystal Isles, Genesis Part 2, Lost Island, and Fjordur
There is also an Aberrant Baryonyx that can be found on Aberration, Valguero, and Crystal Isles
They can be picked up by a Karkinos, Queztal, or a Wyvern
They are very fast and strong on both land and water and can do a tail spin stun attack while they are swimming
They are useful on The Island, Aberration, Genesis Part 1, and any Non-Story maps (u should tame an Aberrant Baryonyx if u are playing on Valguero or Crystal Isles)
Easy to tame. Pretty much all you have to do is lead it into a stone building and trank it from a distance don't forget to put wooden spikes around to keep raptors away
