1. Bring spoiled meat.

2. Find one.

3. Run at it.

4. Enjoy it trust me it works

Why do people lie here? all cave dinos attack you even if you ride this dino. It does verry low damage. It can not climb anything! Its basicly useless dino.

If you spot one and it doesn’t attack you because of repellent, avoid it and go past. If it’s blocking DA WAE then back off. F’ing BACK OFF

Cannot tame in a cave? Why??? Nothing in a cave is taming. Water or land..

First tame scorpion in cave with rotten meat, makes everything else super easy to tame as nothing will agro on you in cave , just don't get off scorpion or you will die. (ark mobile)

Is it possible to tame this thing without bug repellent, taking it under water, or wearing ghillie armor?

I’m not sure why all these people are saying, to use bug repellent just use a scorpion there a knockout tame so just kill the ones you don’t want and knock out the one you do want it’s super easy. Just get narcotics and rotten meat if you tame it in a cave, nothing will, agro you if you tame it outside a cave everything will agro on you

Best way to tame without bug rep or ghillie:

Step1: tame a scorpions( most of you have tamed one in early game didnt u?)

Step2: go in clever cave or hunter cave to find some of the arthos

Step3: feed it food( while on scorpion or insta dead)

Step4: enjoy your new walking turrets

For some reason it won’t let me crouch in the cave so taming is difficult. Hopefully this can be changed.

So basically you need another cave creature like the scorpion and since cave creatures ignore you (atleast on mobile) you can go next to them and feed them same with the onycs and plus the tame teleport to get them back to base oh and get a lot of spoiled meat.

It is the best mount in caves (besides megalosaur) they can climb .they can t get attacked by other creatures.also can spit acid .can destroy buildings.

Best ways to kill it

1- covardly use a bug repelant and attack covardly the arthopreula, you can prepare before to attack

2- use a asault Rifle Or shotgun or shotgun 2.0 or good ranged gun (I use a ascedant Longneck rifle)

3- granadas or explosives

4- melee guns (not recomended)

Use too a shield to protect from the acid spit
