All you need to do is build a 1x1 building three stories high (doesn’t matter what material) and drop the arthropluera in there. It will take a few tries, but then you can feed it spoiled meat without it aggroing on you.

Be careful when taming don’t eat the rotten meat!

I must say that these centipede are born with something like acid in their body keep in mind that their acid is really strong to make it easy to understand their acid could damage every substance from thatch to tek, yes even tek so...ya might lose your amour if you keep encountering them. They got two moves, first is splitting their acid at the enemy doesn't care of far or close, second is a simple bite but of course with this guy their bite is much more big deal due to their acid. And for some people that might not know THEY COULD REFLECT CLOSE-COMBAT(Melee weapon) DAMAGE which mean they will reflect the damage that other creatures deal to them for example let say you hit them with a 300 damage sword boom ya health also decrease 300hp, keep in mind that it also work like this for your dinos *those who all in damage stat careful cuz you might one shot yourself 🥲 but there is a way to avoid this is by using ranged weapons like bows and guns it simply mean as long as you don't touch them you won't get reflect

You can tame lvl 88 with one broth of enlightenment

If u wanna kill someone or raid a base tame this because if the base your trying to raid if the people who live there are online then u can just destroy there armor cuz everyone knows these guys can break ascend flak in like 5 hits so these dudes are good for raids

Okay, people keep saying the best way to tame them is with a megalosaurus, but I found an easier way. (Im using mobile so this might not work for non-mobile)

I used a cave scorpion as it’s just a megalosaurus but easier to get. I just walked up to one and tamed it while riding my cave scorpion. I didn’t use anything special, just spoiled meat and a tamed cave scorpion. I was only level 28 and only had cloth clothes on.

This thing is stupidly overpowered it makes no sense 😡😱

It's so easy to kill them as long as you have a shotgun keep going back and aim to their head one shot is enough if you miss the second one will kill just keep your distance their bite is soooo strong

Taming is pretty straightforward. Soothing balm and broth of enlightenment. Fully set of ghille armour and consume a bug repellant. Go up to the arthro just enough to feed the broth and then stay still and don’t touch anything and soon you’ll have a metal destroying tank

These have a ranged attack, so watch out!!

Tame a scorpion in the cave and then they won’t agro. Up if good and helpful

Just use a gillie suit and prone when close

Tips for newbies: 1.Do not wear any armor when riding a dino if you want to farm chitin or when you want to go into a small cave full of these. 2.When caving, try your best to avoid any arthroplueras on your way. 3.I don't recommend killing these with a low level raptor because it can absolutely destroy your tames and you too if you're not careful. If you want to farm chitin, just kill dung beetles, spiders or pulmonscorpiuses because they don't give much chitin unless you have a sabertooth or any other good chitin harvesting tames. Goodluck caving ma guy :D

Just pick it up with something put it in a taming pen then tame. On the Crystal Isles they spawn in the dessert so just fly over pick one up and tame.

If you see one run away and slowly shot in with a bow and I had regular hide amour on it took like 2 to 3 shots to destroy my amour

Dear guy who doesn't know how to find these on mobile:

Arthros are pretty much common in the hunter's cave (the easiest one in the south) and higher lvls can be found guarding the artifact in the middle chamber (the one by volcano)

Taming guide #6 : Arthropleura (#5 was Liopleurodon, but i misspelled It as #4)

1 They are only found in caves ( atleast on the Island), in which they are pretty common.

2 It Is a passive tame. Broth of Enlightement Will work the best, but you can also use rotten meat which Is way easier to get. You Will Need Bug repellant and ghillie armour because otherwhise It Will Attack you.

3 find a spot where you can feed the arthro and remain still untill the tame Is finished. Fortunately, Arthropleura remain perfectly still in caves untill agroed

Very nice tame to have really helpful. Good thing about the taming part is they can hold their breath in the water for a really looong time so just have to have to be stocked up with spoiled meat and they’re easy to tame as long as it’s in the water and you don’t stay under for too long you keep going back to surface to take more breaths and also warm up a bit cuz it’s freezing temp the water is. They are good for protecting you and your tames have a bite attack and shoot tranq toxin several feet away further than what dilo can do. They are fairly quick to travel turn radius is a lil slow. They can swim and climb well. They don’t climb up walls but they don’t seem to have much trouble climbing out of the water. Has good health from the start about 600-700. Cool tame to have. The spiders are harder to tame they can’t swim as good can’t hold their breath long. Anyways I like my anthro. Off to tame an ankylo and still would like a spider I think trapping the spider and then feeding is the best way to go.

Just go in water and when it loses aggro hand feed it! They’re really good for raiding because they destroy all structures. I always bring a high level one with high mele damage and when I drain all turrets and get rid of their Dino’s I ride this bad boy and destroy their structures till I wipe them completely clean. Works best on a boosted server. They can be useful for defending too as they’ll destroy all armour on enemies. I recommend!!

This giant insect can damage any material in Ark, even Tek material. Arthropluera was sometimes good as a hunting animal but definitely not
