These things are super easy to tame except that they always live in dangerous areas. Bring a Tapejara or a pteranodon and land and dismount near some. Make sure you make sure that they are protected and that they’re on passive. Find and argy that’s high in the air that you like (use a spyglass to check the level) and start shooting with any weapon that you can equip tranq arrows/darts with. Keep an eye on your other tames and other Dino’s around and don’t die as you shoot the argy. Once it’s knocked out fly over to it with your tames and use your choice of food on it. Healing argy doesnt cause it to starve anymore.

To be honest everyone’s talking about using Dino gateways to capture dinos but I never have used them. What I use is 10 pillars making a sort of u same and then stacking the rest on. I then add a ceiling to the middle pillar. I get a Argentavis to chase me and I run through the structure. Once the Argentavis is in structure, I place a stone fence behind it trapping it. I’ve done this method on a multitude of levels ranging from the basic 15 to 450.

Use a stone gateway with 3-4 stone fence foundations in front your pteranodon can get through but the argy gets trapped just close the gate behind it and tranq, use stone or better specifically because with stone wild therizino and giga are the only ones who can damage stone structures

I found a 145 with INSANE stats, 1150 Stam and ZERO points in movement speed, so i trapped it, knocked it aut and hunted for prim meat, and when i came back, it was death😭😭😭

Easy tame, no cheats:

Equipment needed. 10 or so tranq arrows

.Crossbow/bow

.lots of meat

.Soothing balm (10x)

All you have to do is fire tranq arrows at Argie keep away but it doesn’t hurt if he attacks once or twice, you can do it however you want just knock it out with tranq arrows (really simple) then place all your meat in its inventory give soothing balm and for me it went from 0.00% taming then I waited for the white line to go up and from 0 to tame it was awesome, only lvl 2 but I will upgrade him myself also try on a low lvl I haven’t tried with a high lvl I don’t have anymore soothing balm.

I tamed a level 190 while still in HIDE ARMOR and no trap on foot where is my medal

I tamed a low level one but it's easy for every level. First get 3 Dino gates and 2 gateway. Place one gateway and be ready with the other. Let one Aggro on you, run in the gate, use the other gateway and boom. Feed it with every type of meat you have, some narcos/biotox.

I had read you could knock them out with slingshots. Does not seem to work on mobile. Tranq arrows work great

If you have a chance of killing one thru knocking it with say a crossbow, you can set your stuff aside and put down a sleeping bag. Then you feed yourself to it, it heals, you respwan at camping bag and get your stuff, and knock it. Works best with a trap

After you tame it, boost up its stamina and weight, (Depends on the level) because if you put everything you need to make smithy items he will go slow,and that would lead to you burning up its stamina.

Their saddle unlocks at level 62, though I got a mastercraft blueprint it😉

These are one of the best early to mid game tames on the island. These are relatively easy to tame but i will show you my favorite way to tame them.

first you should make some stone gateways and place them in a tunnelshaped structure,then place two dinosaur gates on both ends, make sure its just big enough so you can sneak through the cracks in between the gateway and the argy cant . next lire it in and knock it out, i reccomend using prime meat to tame it as its pretty easy to get and it is a good taming food. and then ride off into the sunset with your flying dinosaur chicken. :)

I went right on the edge of the Arctic area. There will be allosaurus, sabers, and scorpions and argies. Dart them and clear the area, feed anything on the list as long as you have narcs. No trap needed just use a longneck and darts. Happy Taming!😀

How to tame one easy : get a pteranodon with saddle, get icthy with saddle, find nearby leed, and get tranq arrows (35 or 40 maybe.) step 1: mount your icthy, and scrape meat off of a leed until you get prime fish meat ( one leed is in front of my base, one is near me, one is at herbivore island, one is half way to herbi island, for me.) step two: get 35 or 40 tranq arrows ( you might miss and you need alot to knock it out)

step three: fly to red peak on pteranodon (make sure its attack target) find a flying, solo argy. step 4: aim and shoot at it, when it flys at you its even better the target gets wider step 5: once its unconsious put prime in its inventory step 6: there is your very own argy!

I don't know why but if I hit the head the damage is the same as the body. Someone can help me pls?

Hit it on a flyer then make it follow you just behind you to a safe place then knock it out the feed it primes and you are set

To tame this you need dinosaur gates about 6 and 2 of the door parts leave space between the dino gates just for you to escape run around the back then close the last door then use your darts and tame using raw meat or kibble

To tame get it angry. Once it's close enough then kick it over and over with a equus. Make sure your equus has good health to cope with the damage. Once it starts flying away shoot it with a few tranq arrows, and Bam! knocked out and ready to feed.
