Eggs hold for 3x as long in the Argy’s Inventory!

Ok so if you wanna tame one and it's in a group here's what you do. So because they only Argo to you if you hit them or come to close but if you stay just out of arho range they kinda just path on the you and slowly follow you so when you attack them the others wont attack you

So you wanna tame one of these flyers and cant be asked to do anything sorta complicated? my friend, its as easy as it gets, just do these and you shall be flying a portable smithy in no time.

1. prepare a longneck rifle with tranq darts. to be safe, over 20 for accidental misses.

2 . after you find a high level one (mountains and near the arctic biome on the island), make sure it doesnt have a family. if they do? they will all swarm you and it isn't too deadly, but not nice to deal with. you may want to have atleast raw meat, but very very preferably prime meat to make it much more faster, and easy going. just scout some baby dinos and wipe em with a good tame. 15+ prime meat is safe enough for any situation.

3. if it is all alone, high level, make sure you just have a clear-ish area, to see the skies and not have any hostile dinos near you, such as raptors etc. it will be annoying to get swarmed by them.

4. do your part by shooting quite a few tranq darts at it when ready, and just wait for it to knock out while shooting. be aware, it does fly quite a bit, so you may want a tame that is faster than a heavier dino like a trike etc to catch up easily. so a preferably OK speed dino.

5. Now that it is knocked and snoozing, you really shouldnt require narcotics, but if you want to be just extremely safe, do so. now with (preferably) prime meat, feed it just like any other and let the rest unfold. i really recommend prime, as it is only 20 to 30 min. max compared to raw meat, about an hour's worth taming. Yes, i tested. it wasnt fun.

6. you should have your argy! if you do and have the saddle (unlocked at 61 to 62 if sure), you will have a great early game flyer!

Extra uses: it has a built in smithy, usable with resources inside. It has an effect that allows it to consume other corpses for quick health regen. It has a buff that makes any metal, obsidian, and crystal, half of the original weight, making a great material hoarder for your metal runs, and other early materials you need for most of your items. it can also pick up medium animals, including humans! you can transport tribemates easier if you really want to.

I don't see this anywhere to the point I am thinking my game is glitching...I tamed an argy and when I go into his inventory I find the smithy menu and I can craft stuff 🤣 ... Wtf am I trippin or this is a new update ?

Cypher's Tip

An Argentavis is a portable Smithy as well as a transporter. They have many weight reduction bonuses that will help you, should you ever need to move around and require a Smithy or you just need to transport some items.

They can pick up most creatures provided that they are not twice it's size. They are one of the most useful tames of all time. They are not a great creature for speed but they are efficient at transporting.

Taming one will be difficult. Having a Longneck Rifle with a Tranq Darts is best. The kibble is great but Mutton and Prime Meat works best. Be prepared to give it a chase once it runs off after it's Torpo is on above 50%. They tend to fly off very high.

If you plan on giving it a chase, make suee you have a mount that can outrun it first. A Direwolf or any other land mounts that can shoot while mounted is minimum.

You should at least bring a cross bow and 5 tranq arrows for low level and about 30 for a high level and about 100 narcotics just in case and feed it prime meat or regular meat or kibble it likes then wait for it to tame then you have your self a arg press the arrow pointing up if it was helpful thanks if you do ☺️💓

Please God, TAME THIS THING!!!

All of you ptera users need to fly your butts over to the ice biome and tame this boy. He only needs tranq arrow for knockout tame too. He has weight reduction of obsidian and I think metal, and since I got a good health one I'm rocking 16 health and 650% melee. You can literally just fly up to the top of the map or even let it tank while you shoot something. This was by far my most useful tame on island and scorched. I just take this guy and he Carry's my ankylo and go to the mountain area, and we bring back like 1200 metal each time. So please please please use an Archie 🙏🙏🙏

ON MOBILE THEY CAN PICK UP BARYS PASS THE WORD

So how do you tame an argy:

1. You will have to trap him

2. You will have to make it unconsious

3. You will give it food

4. You will wait (don't forget to give it some narcoberries)

5. Name it and it is yours

How to tame a argy easy

-a good tame (something can easily make a kill)

-harpoon launcher with net projectiles

-a carcass

- and any form of tranquilizers (I use a compound bow towards end game, but darts work as well!)

1. Find the argy or argys you want

2.kill something near or below (argys will come down to scavenge it!)

3. Net it while it’s harvesting the kill

4.shoot it till it drops

5. Put the food in the inventory

6.voila you have an argy

So i was looking for a rex for trex arms for my wall mount then i saw a LEVEL 110 ARGENTAVIS up if i should tame it down to murder it without mercy

Quite possibly the most important utility tame in the game.

Use left trigger to pick up animals. Right trigger to attack, witch can also be used on a picked up enemy's. pull left stick back to decelerate and forward on the stick to accelerate. The jump button is used to land and fly.

1-2 tranq darts in head and he’s knocked, go get some meat and kill some of those jellyfish and get bio toxin then put the bio toxin in it and feed it until the argies hunger is on 1000 or less then put all your meat in it

They’re actually really good tames, they have good carry weight and high damage, just don’t keep them on passive near dire bears 🥲 rip Eclipse, you’re son will be great

While slower than a ptera, they're pretty useful. They can pick up more dinosaurs and can kill them while flying, allowing you to pick off raptors and sabres and other small horrors with relative safety. Keep an eye on their stamina, just like a ptera you don't want to be forced down into a death trap
