You can insta tame an Argentavis by feeding it a corpse of any dead animal while you’re tranqing it. Because of its passive regen ability, when it eats, it will keep it almost entirely full health, while giving you a better tame, while simultaneously dropping its food a MASSIVE amount. Feed it Superior Kibble or Raw Mutton/Prime and enjoy your new Sky Tractor 🚜

When taming be careful when using tranq arrows because you can easily kill the argy. Wait several seconds between shots

You should target its belly/breast for the damage multiplier not its head, so aim slightly below the center of its head.

If you are raising a baby you don't really need to feed it, they mature into an adult faster and their food drains slower than average creatures, so if you wanna see something weird you can leave a recently hatched baby argy in your breeding pen, then after a few hours come back and there will be a wild (or more appropriately unclaimed passive) adult argy sitting in your breeding pen. If you let it out it will wander on land until it reaches water which will make it fly, it won't attack anything and won't react when attacked, and lastly you can still claim it. If you kill it though it will still say "you killed argentavis (level ??? argentavis)"

Run or walk around in a circle and they will not be able to hit you, easy way to kill or tame.

Step 2, set up a little camp and build your trap, I used the 5 stone gateframes and the reinforced gates with a bit of space between each

Step 3, find your Argy

Step 4, lead them to the trap

Step 5, hover at the entrance and wait for them to be right behind you

Step 6, fly in

Step 7, the Argy should be in there, and if you have any other tames, aggro onto your other tames until the gate starts to close

Step 8, close the gate

Step 9, knock it out, or do the starve feeding glitch

Step 10, give it any meat, raw meat gives about 10% per feeding so it's not that bad

Step 11, wait for a bit

Step 12, name your new Argy!
