I tame everything the old fashioned way...

Shooting them until they inevitably fall asleep and force-feed them until they love me :)

An argentavis can't fit through a ceiling with one tile missing, but a pteranadon or lymantria can. Build a trap with one corner ceiling missing, aggro the argentavis, fly in one side and out the missing ceiling tile, and land. Dismount, run around, and close the entry door. Tame safely at your leisure.

The Argentavis is the bully of the sky. It is find on every map, but Abbreviation (I probably misspelled that). It is recognizable by it’s giant eagle structure, while it’s a giant vulture. It comes in pretty colors, but don’t be fooled, it will think your a McDonald advertisement Big Mac. Once tamed, it was but one of your most useful mounts. It has great energy and can kill medium dinos with ease. It also regains health fast if it eats a corpse, which make it a great battle bird. Not to mention the fact it can carry medium dinos in it’s talon and small ones in it’s beak. If you want to tame one, it was be worth your time.

HOW TO TAME

You will need: 5 wooden/stone dinosaur gateways, 2 wooden/stone dinosaur gateway doors, 1 crossbow/longneck, Tranq arrows/darts, and taming food (Mutton is recommended)

Pre-make the trap by spacing the gateways in a way so you can get out but the argy can’t. Add the doors.

I will be referring to the island for locations

First, go to the volcano and find the argy you desire

Second, get it’s attention by shooting it

Third, make it follow you into the trap

Fourth, shut the doors

Lastly, Knock it out and feed it the taming food

Havent played in ark since flyer nerf, last time I saw the argy it was just a cheaper and expendable, worse but faster quetzal. Now it looks like a completely brand new creature, it looks so amazing now, and it has so useful again, and the fact that you regenerate stamina by eating corpse can make you fly forever. Truly a jack of all trades, I loved it before the nerf, now I love it again and I love it even more now

Forget all the things that they say right now use pteradons to steal wyvern eggs!

I killed a lvl 50 alpha raptor in under 2 mins

Here’s a recommendation for easy mode players.

1. Find a good argy

2. Shoot near 15 tranq arrows at it

3. Put a stack or two of cooked or raw meat inside

4. Sleep in a sleeping bag and give the argy some narcotics

5. Wait a few more minutes

I just tamed my first Argy and I'm wanting to go to the snow biome does anyone know if agrys loose control when Yutys roar?

Argy's can now carry Anky's and Doed's. Making them very useful for getting metal and stone quickly.

If an Argy you’re trying to tame is spawned in a dangerous spot (A place where lots of predators also spawn and could possibly kill the creature you’re trying to taming) Set up spiked walk around the area, so predators get killed or hurt when they walk too close to the spiked walk) This usually works for most predators.

In my opinion, Royal Griffins are cheap Argy's. I mean, they're way harder to tame, you have to deal with that respect crud, and they don't even deal as much damage. Also, they all pretty much look the same, while with Argy's you can get a varied colour palette. Argy's can also carry more creatures, too. The only perks of a griffin are: 1. Prestige. 2. They can glide 3: You don't need a saddle 4: You can fire from their backs 5: They're multi passenger. But, is all that worth staring at a screen for, like, 6 hours?!? With an Argy, you can just hold a second player in it's talons, and that's multi passenger, and that player can fire, too. I'll also be posting this in Argy and Royal griffin, too. One like = One respect for Argy's!

Ok so if you wanna tame one and it's in a group here's what you do. So because they only Argo to you if you hit them or come to close but if you stay just out of arho range they kinda just path on the you and slowly follow you so when you attack them the others wont attack you

Lift an Anky with an argument after the anky is full of metal and you can carry so much more metal than if you put the metal in the argy up this if helpful

If you want to easily farm with A doed or anky, stay still while flying by a metal rock or normal rock and they will automatically swing

Build an argy cage with 6 foundationd, 1 dino gate, 24 or 32 doorframes, then ceiling. You have to lure the argy inside so you can shoot it down safely cause they fly away when almost down.

Give it a corpse before it gets knocked. Then finish the tranqing process while it has regen buff it’s good will drop to zero. Up for others to see.

They are good for stealing children but be sure to have ur kidnapping licence on you

Don't forget to build a taming hut / room and lure the bird in. They fly off and don't come back if you start tranqing them in the wild.

Guys I accidentally dropped off my argy and fell into the waters…..of the center ring circle….and then got eaten by megs..he isn’t dead….buuuutttt…..he’s very high up and I don’t have any fliers….10 upvurts for taming a low lvl pt and flying it to the argy and abandoning the pt…or coming back for it somehow later, or 10 downvurts for just somehow forgetting about my lvl 86?!? Argy!!! Which was very hard to tame….
