If you go to ocean East they spawn there in Gen 1

If your having difficulty tranqing one costume a rare flower and there you go bam

i found a lvl 260 eerie female in the redwoods, tried taming her but yadadada its a pain to tame until she got stuck in my tree base

The Archaeopteryxes are actually an evolutionary ‘uncle’ and not really ‘parent’ in the evolution or birds.

They’re very skittish and hard to hit. And for some reason on ark mobile they disappear once they hit the ground. At least that’s how it is on the server I play on. It’s also how I lost most of my toxicant arrows trying to hit one.

Knocking them out is simple as long as they don't see you otherwise they will climb higher into their current tree. They will also glide to other trees if scared too much. One shock dart makes even the highest level. Bola's or Net projectiles suggested.

Taming a archaeopteryx is easy but one thing is that they get easily startled. So you'll have to have bolas and tranq arrows or a wooden club. Also chitin to tame it.

If you get a beelzebufo (frog) you can use it to knock one out, they can be hard to control but they can jump to hit an archa already on a tree (it’s hard to do though)

Idk if its not obvious to anyone else, but these things make it possible to tame something in mid air, even though you move slowly.

You can’t pick up a wild one with a argy! They glide out

1. kill like 2 or 3 trilobite

2. Use hatchet to farm trilobite

3. Find one in red wood area then lure it out because come on, it’s red wood area, unless you wanna die lure it out.

4. Bola it

5. Just use a club and beat it harder than I beat my meat

6. Give chitin

7. Enjoy your living parachute

Hey ark players!! Pretty easy to knock out use a bola one tranq dart 1 narcotic for levels 1-5 mobile. If u want an easy way out steel there egg and they will chase u and u can chase from there. Found in red woods the big trees and your can’t hit. Hope that helps!

I used 2 narco berries and 3 chi tin to tame a lvl 1 archie :| it worked

I rode the equus that I hated most on the swamp side of the red forest. I waited for 2 if these guys to fall off the tree they were on, one fell and I got on my Equus and he did not see us even though I was next to it. I got out my brows bow and knocked him out. ( he’s level 1 ) I jumped and fed him my 6 chi tin and he ate 3 and was tamed! I got on my flyer and went back to base, leaving my Equus to fit in the red forest. Mainly if I see another archaeopteryx I’ll grab the Equus and tame it. Hope this helped!

Tame them they work as parachutes and can heal

find one in red wood forest, use bola and tranq arrows, feed chitin or pelagornis kibble in mobile.
