My sister has gotten these conufused with microraptors MANY TIMES!

If you dont want to make this mistake, look at the tail.

Microraptors have thin tails that fluff out into a sort of triangle at the end.

Archaeopteryxes have a fluffy tail all the way.

DONT MIX THESE TWO UP!

These guys are very easy to find if you have high tech stuff, however, I don’t, and it’s a lot of work to get them, but I eventually found some, and I sold one at my shop on a online server.

Can these be tamed mobile?

Make sure you have plenty of narcs, as well as a second person, especially with the dangerous wildlife around archeopteryx.

So like people have said they are really glitchy and you cant hit them when they are on trees but heres how you tame one

Step 1: find the one you want

Step 2: stalk it until it drops to the ground

Step 3: HAVE A BOLA try to run to it and hit it with a bola as fast as you can

Step 4: (rifle recommended) shoot it in the head with a tranq dart (head has 3x)

Feed and tame :D

Don't take them to swamps or water. They just sit in it.

If youre doing scorched earth put a tent over it

Bola one that is on the ground and sting it with a scorpion once. Don’t need the saddle just target and whistle passive but you have to be quick.

I found three of these launching themselves high up into the air near the redwoods on the island. They were then circling and trying to attack something that looked like a floating rock but wasn’t a rock. Almost looked like a component from a saddle or something. One of the oddest things I’ve seen a wild Dino do.

The birb is good for mobile u can pick it up and glide woooooooo hoooooo I love this birb and 1-2 naco berries can be needed and 2-3-6 food for it

Dude I spent almost 1 hour looking for a female archeop I found one and tamed it I wanted one to mate it with my males I'm gonna get another one dude but on mobile make sure to give it food do not force feed it because I did and da baby died :c I was so sad because it was so much wait and it was cute because I forced fed it and a glitch happened and he never ate and he died im gonna Miss you charlie

Someone’s said you cannot shoot them on trees on mobile due to being bugged, they must have patched it because I did.

I live on a tree platform in the redwoods. And when I jumped down I died and I hated making parachutes do I tamed one of these little fellas and I love it

When taming on mobile, bring more tranqs than you need. Their hitbox while on the trees is very difficult to hit and they are too small to reliably hit while they are flying. Try to hit them while they are on the ground. They have a low torpor so not many tranqs needed but it drops quickly.
