Alright you have got to make sure you don’t get bit. They have tranq poison but it’s not too strong. Just be careful. For more advanced players, shocking tranq, only need a couple, then spoiled meat. Requires no narcotics. Kill other spiders while waiting to tame and get 100 chitin and have about 200 fiber and 100 wood. Then saddle. If you have like hide armour a club will word. These things are so slow and have terrible stamina, I would recommend arthaplora in stead.

I couldn't figure out how to plant citrus, so I have no bug repellent. If you've ever been to the South Cave, you've seen hoards of these evil things.

I suggest to use a Grappling Hook to hang from the cave ceiling and fill these monsters will Bullets or Arrows. You can get Grappling Hooks from the Reloading Bench, a crafting station available at around Level 30 and costing only 50 Amber.

Says I needed 2 tranq arrows from regular bow.... 5 of them later still wonder where (Was knocking it out for thr fun of it)

Ride a scorpion and nothing will agro, you can feed it spoiled meat while on the scorpion to tame it, this way you can get high level ones without fighting heaps of em :)

Absolutely the BEST for caving!

Wear ghuille armor and load soothing balm and spoiled meat in your bar. Then sneak up and tame the very lowest level you can. After it follows you out of the cave, saddle up and go back in. Now Everything ignores you!

I repeat: Everything Ignores you while riding on your Araneo!

Then tame as high a level Araneo and Arthropluera you can find using balm and spoiled meat. If you dont find one you like, just leave the cave and re-enter until you do. I got level 290 of each (on hard difficulty) in about an hour!

Puti it in a box and make it 2 walls tall put stars on it go up the stars and passive tame it with spoiled meat

These need to be given a climbing ability so that people have a better reason to tame not good for pvp worthless on PvE and that's the truth

If you put them in a little 1 by 1 box with no roof, then you can drop it in the roof and then feed it through the walls. Once tamed, you can then ride it through the door.

to first tame one you should get bug repellent so the bugs in the cave don't agro on you but with that you can't get to close to the bugs bc thay will agro. so you can try gilly and repellent if you can then get something long range torpor weapon like a cross bow with torpor arrows or a long neck rifle with thank darts and make the spider go to sleep. then get spoiled meat and put it into the inventory of the spider and it will start tameing.

If you tame one in a cave nothing will garo on you. However if tou shoot something while riding it expect instant death because they’re slow and you can’t run away fast enough
