look much different in mobile. for whatever reason i could only tame em when they were in water. and when i had my one chance. i had no spoiled meat. well… thats a tip i guess lol

Aggression: Passive

Diet: Meat (spoiled, fish)

It is fast and lives in caves. To tame the Araneo you must treat it as a passive tame. Feedit spoiled meat and repeat, then hide from its jaws, unlike lystros, my first passive tame 1 is Leo and 1 is Phat. They are NOT friendly!!!

Just tame a cave scorpion and ride it and tame any passive tame with.

After lvl 40 they can be useful bc they don't agro dinos (when tamed inside of the cave, idk about PC or console things) easily can scout areas what are danger just little bit of spoiled meat and u have it now go explore the island when you still haven't done it.

Absolutely the BEST for caving!

Wear ghuille armor and load soothing balm, spoiled meat, and one insect repellant in your bar. Apply repellant then sneak up and tame the very lowest level you can, before timer runs out. After it follows you out of the cave, saddle up and go back in. Now Everything ignores you!

I repeat: Everything Ignores you while riding on your Araneo!

Then tame as high a level Araneo and Arthropluera you can find using balm and spoiled meat. If you dont find one you like, just leave the cave and re-enter until you do. I got level 290 of each (on hard difficulty) in about an hour!

Console players: Why is this so hard to tame?!

Mobile players: We tame it by killing it!

Question do I need a ghillie suit for this or only the bug repellent works

I would honestly recommend passive taming this on a creature you have tamed in the cave so that you do not have to worry about any of the other creatures going aggro on you.

Get bug repellent and ghille suit then sneak up behind one and feed it meat

DONT put them in a trap, once they agro on a foundation they won’t de-agro.

Use fence foundations to make a trap if you have too.

If your able the best way is to use a Karkino to pick your desired spider up. Then put on your best gillie suit spray some bug spray and sit there feeding it

Using ghillie armor while prone works just as well as bug repellant when taming.

The bslest tip is just mount ur scorpion and feed it and thats it

It's hard to tame when your in a Cave and you also get stuck in a web and it's hard to get out

Swamp Cave is great when taming one of these guys, no Ghillie is required just bug repellent. Make sure you clear the area first because swamp cave is a bit difficult and bring extra sets of scuba tanks. Creatures can get up to level 200-400 so be prepared and watch out for arthropluras

Right, so I tried to tranq one like a idiot. It doesn't matter but dododex is way off with the tranq number. For 116 on 5x it said two. I hit it with about 15 and it was standing still.

Easiest way to tame a few at once, is to build a 4 foundation pen with walls a door frame (so you can cryo it and re use the trap afterwards) drop the araneo in with a flyer and then feed through the wall where it’s leg sticks out, it won’t agro on you this way.
