Best way to tame is to drop it into a single foundation with walls around it. It will stick it's legs out and all you have to do is crotch and feed.

The Araneo is definitely not a battle mount but has the potential to be. Pumping points into melee damage and health plus the projectile cobwebs to slow your target will allow you and your mount to be proven a worthy adversary.

Is it just me, or should they be able to use web slingshots, kind of like the bloodstalker?

THEY CAN SWIM!!!I learned it the hard way in the south cave when my torpor was high and an army of pulmonos,titanoboas and araneos where casing me so I went into the lake and the boas and pulmonos didn’t come but the araneos came and where like Olympian’s at swimming.I was slowly losing torpor and then I fell asleep UNDERWATER!!I was losing air but when I woke up those creepy araneos killed me!!And that was the first time they killed me.AND THEY NEVER KILL ME!!!

At level 10 you should go and tame one or two because they will help you web other animals you want to tame why waste a bolo

1 Go to a cave 2 punch it hide and knock it out 3 Get the tame out of the cave as soon as possible 4 realise you died at step 1

They can web you wich slows you down by a little bit

They live in caves and are kinda tankey

On Genesis, the Araneo can be found in the cave that hold Magmasaur eggs.

These guys, when killed, give you lots of chitin. On Ragnarok there's a castle near the swamp at the top of the map full of these guys. Grab a high lvl argie and you'll have stacks of chitin very quickly.

You can find them in caves and near a broodmother and they shoot a web at you and then they close in on you and then attack

The Araneo can spit webs out of its mouth, which will slow small too medium creatures and it’s bite has a torpor effect

Tame one of these inside a cave then the Dino in the cave will not aggro unless you attack them in other words the cave Dino will become neutral . This will not work if you tame a spider outside the cave . I would definitely recommend taming at least 3 when your at lvl 35-50 if you are playing in pvp it will help you get artifacts and artifacts will help you be the alpha of the server . The web can hit a creature from a mile away with enough accuracy i’ve tried it on a training dummy
