(Mobile) After tame: Abysmal speed, health, and weight, 10 damage on main attack that does 10 torpor per 10 secs, stacks for a maximum of 2 times for 20 torpor over 20 secs...honestly, what is the point of taming this? Just like the Pachy(again, mobile), there is literally nothing that this creature can do that others can't do better. Invisible glitch? Get a scorpion. Better torpor? Scorpion. pvp? Arthropluera, which is somehow easier to tame than this spider. (lv 150 takes 2 spoiled meat with 10× soothing balm when spider takes 6-7.) Web attack? If you can do a cave run easily, what do you need that for?? Besides, dilos can do slow too. Again, before you attempt to tame one, think about why you want it in the first place. *Stares at newly tamed lv 224 araneo* Useless.

Would be cool if it could climb like a rock drake and shoot webs that could be used as zip line that it, survivors and other creatures could climb on.

Araneo is decent, well, it should have an update, my opinion is the model and abilities, the model could look a bit more.. hairy such as it’s relatives now, Pros and Cons : Pros: It deals damage that slows the person / creature down. It cannot be aggro’d by anything in the cave if you tame it in the cave. Cons: Cannot go up walls, Not fast, Doesnt have much health.

Passive tame. Use bug spray and sneak up behind it. Remove all distractions from the area a.e. other araneos and whatever else will aggro you. Don’t touch it or bump into it while trying to tame it. It will attack you.

I don't know if it is a bug but you can lure the spider in the water and feed it without bug repellent

The araneo may be useless to the pc and console platforms(not sure, didn't try) but on mobile, you can literally sneak run the entire ice cave and have nothing aggro on you. This glitch also applies to the arthroploura

In mobile they don’t have gender apparently

How to tame

1. Get bug repellant

2. Get 10 pieces of spoiled meat

3. They are passive tame and found in every dungeon cave so go to any one of them

4. If you find one start feeding it spoiled meat while not getting too close to it

5. Tamed Araneos are invisible to other Araneos so if u find one in a pack don’t worry.

These spiders are beyond diabolical, always coming out of nowhere and then WHAM! You're wrapped up in it's web and are now it's main course.

This is how I tamed a level 100 areneo on ark mobile no bug spray

Or ghillie as well go to sky lord cave lure any spider to the pit near artifact of the strong that does not have ice spikes then when it falls in there it will de aggro on you then tame up the spider then get out of cave

So it teleport out or if it didn’t request it to teleport out

In mobile,if you tame this creature in cave(hunter cave recommended),you can do any cave(except skylord cave and lava cave) effortlessly and without being attacked.Easy tame,easy cave

Always be ready for these horrifying bugs.You can find them in any cave and in the south cave are usually in the jagged rocks.Watch out because they come in groups and deal torpor damage and usually are found with other creatures that deal torpor damage like scorpions and titanoboas

They are so amazing at any caves nothing will agro only 1 it doesn't work in is the artifact of the skylord

4 base defense in a cave u need 4 of them and 2 arthos on turret mode and maby some onecs u will rule pvp/pvx

Best location 2 tame is the South cave

(On mobile)I was exploring south cave when I was attacked by these…..these…SPIDER SHAPED DEMONS!!!!! I killed them but was torpored and fell off a cliff and into water and I drowned.look Out for these things when you go into caves they are death spiders.tip:these things trap you with webs and slow you down and that is how they kill you

If you DO like to ride around on this thing, moving in a straight line helps with its web attack aim.

Usually found in Cave.Be careful,they web you and make you slow,same as scorpion,their bite is full of tranquility,making your torpidity rise.

(ArkAscended, might work on evolved idk). If taming these in Lower South Cave you can aggro them from across the water and wait for them to start swimming across. Then jump over them into the water and they lose interest in you. They will try to swim back across and return to their original spot. You can then swim up under them and feed them without worrying about them attacking. Rinse and repeat. No bug repellant or Ghillie required! You’re welcome!
