fairly easy tame. take a kapro and something a bit better at fighting into the lower south cave. clear the cave out of anything dangerous and make sure u completely empty one of the water pools of enemies. then go find a max level spider pick it up and dunk it in the water, hop off the kapro, feed the spider, drag the spider back onto land so it wonβt drown. give it few seconds and dunk the spider back in to feed it again. repeat till tamed. putting these things in the water forces them to deaggro and allows you to feed them without bug repellent. usually they drown before you can complete the process but with a kapro you can dunk and redunk ur spoodler to keep them alive during the process. hope this helped
More Araneo Taming & KO Tips
Use EXCEPTIONAL KIBBLE somebody here said use superior you will not get best lvls this is for ASA
After the TLC update it became a simple knockout tame. It hardly takes any tranqs and can be fed with spoiled meat or superior kibble like before
If you tame this creature outside a cave(especially revival tame etc.)Creatures on every cave will still argo you, if you want to be ignored and be vulnerable(unless u don't attack any of them) against cave creatures/caves, tame a araneo/arthroupleura inside a cave, once you've tamed it, no cave creatures will attack you(unless you won't attack them). idk if this work on pc, but works on mobile for me.:v
The taming for the tlc update has changed , now it's a knock out tame that eats superior kibble and can be bolad
After the TLC - DO NOT try and use SIMPLE kibble. It will ruin the tame!
SIMPLE kibble WILL RUIN your tame!!!
Each simple kibble will increase tame by .1% and lose you 10 levels of tame.
While it says Simple on here and the Spyglass, use SUPERIOR kibble!
As of the tlc the araneo takes superior kibble and is a knockout tame
NOT A PASSIVE TAME ANYMORE I learned this the hard way after trying for almost an hour. Also all you have to do to knock one out is shoot it once or twice with tranq darts. Super easy, definitely worth it.
Itβs not a passive tame after the TLC launched
On ASA as of right before the TLC it prefers superior or better kibble, not simple kibble.
In Asa, the Araneo needs superior kibble and is a knock out tame!
