On taming its saying no need of narcotic while feed its not true i was taming 150 and i had to feed narcotic to keep it unconcious

Once u ko the anky its torpidy goes down slow i suggest a crosbow and tranks 2 take it down

Wild ones will do 1 damage per hit to stone...doesnt seem like much but if you can manage to quetzal in as many as you can find before starting a raid and get them to start atacking those numbers start stacking up...on top of almost being equal to a rex for base damage per hit and not easy to kill because of knockback...most turrets wont be on wilds and with the mate boost they wont die easy

Stand on a rock or high surface so you don't get hit

Cruise the Beaver dams and the center and you should find some. Grab with quetzal and drop it in a pen for an easy tame.

The ankylo is a slow mount, when you are a low lvl survivor, try to build a penn near a resource location. If u are slightly higher and have obtained a quetzal or wyvern(scorched earth) u can transport the ankylo to the iron veins quite easily. If u want even more effiency try refining the metal on the harvesting location, or try putting forges on a quetz platform saddle and a ramp to get up with the ankylo. Use thatch as fuel for the forges as wood will leave extra weight after burning(charcoal).

Ankys can be used to farm unlimited metal, crystal obs etc. It takes 2 players. On in a quetz with a platform saddle and a ramp on the front. the other flying the quetz. Just scoop the anky with a player riding it and hit away. For some reason the ankys weight from the inventory doesn't count so the quetz can fly you across the map. If you fall off the quetz just scoops you back up!

If you tame one far away from your base just cryo it to save time and life force for your flyer.

So these guys are the absolute KINGS when it comes to gathering metal, not only do they gather it in the hundreds from every metal rock, they also make it weigh a sixth of what it normally would when they carry it(45 pounds in a stack of 300) so with a leveled weight and melee damage stat they can gather and carry an ungodly amount of metal for you, oh and you hardly have to worry about them dying to anything short of an alpha or giga, they can have thousands of health and do a fair bit of damage with that club tail

If your melee attack damage is high and the anky is a low level just hit it with a bat a couple of times then put mejoberrys in its inventory then have fun with your new anky

How do you use tranquility arrows.

They're very easy to find on scorched Earth, and by the way DO NOT use tranq darts or arrows on him. This was my second tame on scorched Earth official with my survivor around about level 25, I was mostly using it as a guard dog until I was getting more carnivore tames.

Knocking it out wont be too hard on those mounts but if you don’t have one hop on the cliff above everything and fire away a bow crossbow compound bow or gun. Berries aren’t too hard to find just remember to keep narcotics on you just in case. In the time it takes to tame it you could start making a second base on herbivore island because it has metal infused rocks.

They are incredibly slow and you can easily outrun them even with default movement speed. In fact you can walk backwards and still outrun them, so backtrack and pelt them with your tranq of choice. If scorched earth use boomerangs, when they fall use kibble or Mejo berries. Some narcotics might be required depending on their level.
