The Utility of the Angler is basically the same, like the Utility of the Lamppost. After Tame, u can climb on his back and explore the Depths of the water. He is basically a living Lamppost. He also can be used as a guard of your base. One alone is quite week and slow, but a hole bunch of them can be pretty annoying and dangerous too for any attacker in the water.
