If you build a base on the rock island in the lake in aberration or the big lake near the surface entrance breed an army of fully mutated anglers, mantas, and eels and set them on wander and aggressive and your lakes will be karkinos and spino free

Not hard to tame, how and tranq arrows work great, taming is short, and in my opinion with just a decent speed and weight they are not me of the best water tames! Unlike most water tames these guys are small, more maneuverable fast and the best part.. they come with their own headlights!

As of the recently, anglers collect pearls. Ranging from around 40 pearls and up on official servers per bite, melee affecting amount (melee mutation = main goal)

Fun fact angler fish in real life actually can get bigger then humans so if somehow tamed then you could ride one the same way you do in ark

Pretty sure they get more pearls the higher their melee is tamed a 130 earlier was getting around 170 pearls per clam was 196 after tame I think 🤔

The gel they drop is useful for keeping a fire burning for a longer duration of time

The angler has the ability to collect silica pearls, more efficiently than picking it up yourself and does not have a saddle

To whoever wrote that you could ride an angler IRL. Unfortunately they live deep deep into the ocean where water pressure is more intense than what we could handle. Bringing them up would make them collapse onto themselves. One can dream though.

The jelly you get from killing them is used to tame mantas! I suggest using a pickaxe to collect the jelly.
