Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a andrewsarchus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a andrewsarchus.
This thing can walk on the sea floor
If you are taming this creature make sure to jump off if it runs towards water , otherwise the taming % drops to zero consistently. To not have him at the water again just go up on him and let it chase you, then run towards a big area again where no water is nearby , don't worry it will not loose taming % . Good luck :)
Don’t clear the area of things that agro, trap everything so it doesn’t respawn mid tame. Then kill everything afterwards to reset the spawning for the next person. And keep the traps out of the way
For anyone building a trap for it, they can walk through double door frames.
These big boars are a very easy tame I was able to get a lvl 130 on the first day
There is one area they spawn at that is near a mountain look for behave rocks and harvest whith axe find on aim crosshair up a bit and throw wait till it starts eating run up to it ride it follow arrows whith a and d when the red line gets kinda close to end jump of turn and run run e and repeat
Also they have high dmg weight and a good travel mount
Worth the tame
The best creature for early game. They are pretty strong, fast and very easy to tame. Later they are also pretty op with their minigun turret saddle.
You don’t need ghillie I did it without
We can tell it’s gonna be good for pearls so you don’t need to say that I literally says it in the description
I really hope fennier stays in fjorder and this thing is adorable I will have an army of them one day I can’t wait for the mini gun I think it will shoot advanced rifle bullets - beluga
I can't seem to find any after looking for 2 hours pls if anyone can help let me know
Really easy tame if any of the castles are Emory on your server. Drop one in side the walls and drop the honey, do the direction mini game until just before the red bar fills and dismount. Rinse and repeat. Super quick don't forget an elixr for that extra 30%
To tame one you have to get honey from honey rocks[use a hatchet for more honey] then put the honey on your hot bar and then throw the honey near the andrewsarchus and run to it from any direction while it is eating the honey and press e and you have mini game [watch the rage meter] repeat it a few more times and u have an andrewsarchus.
Put honey in front of the thing and ride it around
To tame you will need honey and ghille throw the honey on the floor jump on it and dismount before the red bar fills up
You don’t need grille it just make it a lower chance if it noticing you
So if your on xbox, like me, then this will help.. find an andrew, kill all the ones in the area, also make sure to bring honey, you can normally find some nearby their spawns, then put the honey in the last slot and when your nearby, not too close though, hold down the honey, don’t tap the d pad to eat it, hold it, then the honey should be thrown and when the andrew is eating it, ride it and follow the instruction arrow things
Ghillie is not required, you can drop honey down from the back of a pteranodon and then quickly fly down and hop onto it whilst it's still eating
I would suggest getting it trapped on rocks so it can’t run off a cliff
The best way of taming one of these is placing a 2-4 beds near the andrewsuchus ( depending on how many honey you need to tame it ) , place a storage box , put all of your items inside the storage box except for one honey , go to it , do the first ride and just let it kill you , respawn in the beds , grab another honey and you can just re do it without any trouble , the taming won’t reset and he won’t agro to you , keep on doing it until its tamed :) , it is the best way to do it early game , i tamed a high level first try with 5 rides only , it should’ve been 4 but i missed up the controls a bit and had 2% left at the end
Throw a piece of honey around it, when it starts eating the honey sneak up behind it and start riding it, while your riding it will show you directions you have to steer it to tame it to steer it use either your arrow keys or a joystick (depending on what device you use)
