If you're taming one on singleplayer, the way I tamed one was without a ghillie suit (I know, strange). You can walk up to it, just don't get too close or else it'll aggro, then throw honey at it. Once it starts eating, jump on it and start doing the arrow thing. Once it kicks you off, just leave the game. Its turning radius is bigger than average while running, but pretty good while walking. It'll not only save but it will remove the aggro entirely and you should immediately throw honey. Rinse and repeat until it's tamed! Hope this helps, have fun on the new map!

First You need to drop a honey near the Andrew (like a Roll Rat) but for this one You Will sneak while it's eating the honey and ride it (like an Equus) then you Will play a minigame about pressing the move arrows while are blank to turn into GREEN, and NOT pressing while the color is RED, if You fail it the Andrew Will eat You if You don't run too fast. You don't need saddle to ride it 😁 Good Luck taming this beast!

You have to throw honey at it and when it’s eating you get close enough to ride it. Once you are on him riding you will then have 2 arrows left and right you have to hold down the direction the arrow is highlighted, he will knock you off after a while so when he does run as fast as you can to deagro then repeat the process.

Drop honey on the ground. While it’s eating it, you can mount like the Equus. Then there’s a mini game to play where you hold the direction of the arrow and it’s taming goes up as you ride.

HOW TO TAME:

1.Wear Ghille suit

2.Sneak up behind Andrewsarcus

3.Throw honey

4.Hop on it like an equs

5.Play the fun little mini game

6.Congratulations you now have your very own walking tank

Used to be you could knock to reset taming effectiveness, but now if you do that, it will become impossible to tame. So be extremely diligent about eradicating everything that might nick it and lose taming effectiveness. Even a stupid pego trying to get at you when you're hanging can tap it and zero out the tame

Try trapping the thing and then waiting, sometimes works sometimes dont

This guy can be spawned with commands works on the island

If u fail to follow the arrows that r shown it's rage meter will increase. If the meter increases all the way, it will dismount u off it n aggro so always make sure u r wearing ghillie

I know in dododex it gives info telling you to use Ghille suit but you don't need too, just throw honey in its path, I did this and it worked.

If you whistle a fast ground mount behind you and set it to passive you can get the maximum tame percentage by going until you get kicked off. It is riskier, but it works.

To tame this beast wear a ghillie suit ( < -optional) and throw honey in his path, as he stops to eat the honey rush over and jump on his back when on his back he will charge and you must steer depending on the corresponding arrows on your screen after that he will throw you off and you will have to repeat the process , it should takeva few tries to tame.

When taming them I recommend having atleast 13 peices of honey.you have too through the honey in front of it then when it's eating it you can run up to it and jump on it then you have to play a mini game but as you go the way the creature wants you to go the rage meter behind the taming bar goes up you wanna jump of just before the rage meter fills up and repeat the process

Pretty easy to tame early on as long as you have a tame that can help with the honey, otherwise, its op.

If you are in a tribe, do this: build stone dino gates, put them in your inventory, and ask the leader of the tribe to kick you out. Build an arena/circle and pick the andrews with a quetz and drop him in your circle. Now ask your mates to ride him. Not beeing in their tribe, means he will not attack the structures. Quetz is the only one that can pick him. Once the taming is done, get back in your tribe. This way he will not run all the map and you have him protected.

The way to tame a andrewsarchus is put the honey down near the one you want to tame. When the andrewsarchus eats the honey hop on it. Drive it the way the white arrow points. At the bottom of your screen you will see a red bar fill up it’s the rage bar. As soon as the rage bar fills almost to the top hop off and run wait five seconds then repeat.

While taming, ride until the third buck then jump off. This seems to be as long as you can ride without being bucked off and aggroed/stunned.

Also spike walls will reset taming so jump before you hit them if any are in the area.

For ps4 (and prob Xbox) players

You DO NOT have to press L2 and R2 to get to turn! Just use the stick! Act like ur driving normally and the arrows only tell u what way to turn! Didnt see any tips saying this so I thought it would be helpful :)

These things are bugged af, do not put them near any building when trying to tame. Even with full ghillie they’ll decide to aggro the building and will never stop no matter how far away you take them. It’s crossed the entire island to get back to my base.

Bring parachutes, taming these while it runs around cliff edges are dangerous, you get "thrown off" when it tames. -nightwraith
