What are tips for andrewsarchus? Tips and strategies for andrewsarchus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Hello fellow survivors! If your finding trouble on Fjordur, then these guys are a blessing. They don't require a saddle to ride, so you can tame them as soon as you get some honey. I would recommend spawning near the beaches so you can find some supply crates, then once you find them and look them your practically set for the first part of the game. Go make a small temporary base to store your items, and I'd also recommend quickly working your way up to hide armor. Afterwards you can explore until you find some hives, don't fear, you can use you pickaxe to gather honey from them. Then the Andrew is wrapped around your finger. It shouldn't be too hard to find, just travel until you find one. I do believe they spawn in clusters, so you may have to get creative and lure one away sneakily.
After you have one separated from his comrades, quickly sneak up to him and drop some honey on the ground, and jump on his back. Similar to a horse, you will be given a challenge of staying on this beast until he has given in. If you want, you could even get a pack with your leftover honey, just know you'll have to keep up with all of them in the early game.
Once they are tamed, you have a wonderful well rounded mount, just know they won't be able to gather any useful early-game materials. They can deal a serious bite to threats, and run quite fast when in danger. They are also not bad it water Incase you need to go there, but I wouldn't recommend it. And once you learn how to craft it's saddle, you have an incredibly useful ability. You can shoot at your foes! Given that you keep the ammo well stocked.
In short, one of these is a great help in the beginning of your journey, but if you stick with them, they can be one of the best things that has happened on Fjordur. Good luck out there, and have fun with your new best friend.
As long as you are not sprinting you will not need ghillie gear
Kill all of them and let them respawn and kill them again and then let them respawn again and then kill them again and then let them respawn again and then kill them and then tame it
These giant boar pups have the ability to do a dash which you might or already know but there is a cool trick when your running and use the dash press jump right after for a long jump and you Also keep the speed you had before the jump this is useful for launching yourself farther into the water or jumping over canyons or rivers
Always see some at 60, 25 on fjordr. The honey goes in your hot bar drop it from there. Bring a crossbow and grappling hook. If it throws you off grapple up a hill or tree and wait a bit. It will lose interest and walk off and you can throw down more honey and continue taming.
It is possible to tame one at level one you only need to harvest honey, run up to one a few steps back so it wont argo on you, crouch and toss the honey once it eats the honey run up and do the prompts and before it kicks you off jump off of it and crouch right away and repeat - someone who has 3 now at the start of the game
SurviveTheArk.com Official News: Andrewsarchus will be an upcoming creature in June on map fjordjur. Taming will require honey (Andrewsarchus is a passive tame and does not attack) . Once tamed the saddle will have a minigun that acts like a turret. Abilities are that it gathers silica pearls better than any creature so far, and it’s minigun saddle. This creature is aquatic but will be on land for taming.
This may be a good farmer, but I also think it may be a passive tame.
second tip.
You don’t need gillie you just have to crouch and it be near by ( will Agro/see you if you move to much or honey is to far away).
P.s. other creatures will eat honey.
Day 1 of making a tip everyday: Andrewsarchus
The andrewsarchus is a semi aquatic creature that is tamed by dropping honey on the floor, when it eats it you have to mount it similar to a equus, you then have to steer them in the direction they would like (the arrows on the screen point to them if I’m not mistaken) repeat the process if you mess up until they are tamed!
When they are tamed they can:
-Swim relatively fast and long
-have a saddle with a Minigun on it
-minigun shoots underwater
-run fast on land
-saddle protects you from radiation AND drowning
-can be ridden with no saddle if tamed earlier then saddle
-they have a pack buff
Bonus stuff:
-Saddle has Easter eggs in first person
-ManaTheTipMan
Get ready for a lot of honey since you will need it for this method aka early game just starting
I have .8 rates or .4 not on single player settings since I’m lonely but you get a metal hatchet and get a lot of honey around maybe 20 you find the one you like I got lucky whith a lvl 200 and use it like a cartoon path placing a few in a line to a better location and just continue your basic movements of tamein
Also every location that an Andrew spawn has at least 2 honey rocks except on the flatland mountains in vanna land good luck and I hope this works for you as well as it did for me
IMPORTANT INFO:
To tame you DONT need gilli or anything else!!! Just select honey from your hot bar and throw it by an Andrew! Once it is eating it is completely passive! Just run up and hop on! No sneaking or gilli needed!
I recommend if trying to escape have a flyer or raptor for battle I used yutys for easy exp you guys can use what ever you want
