It’s a good idea to kill them with a Baryonyx, when attacked, the Ammonite will spit out bile and enrage all creatures nearby to attack you, but a Baryonyx has a stun attack that allows you to attack the Ammonite without it spiting bile on you.

So people say that it’s hard to find/kill these creatures but I just killed 3 with my level 32 pleliosaur(sorry about spelling) and all you need to do is kill them and butcher them fast then run

If you really want to kill some, I recommend using a baryonyx. Its spin attack can stun the ammonite and keeps it from spitting its juices. Also, try to stay out of deep water while doing this, mosas like to move in groups, tusos will happily grasp you firmly, and dunklys will absolutely tear you a new one if you accidentally get sprayed.
