What is a achatina used for? achatina utility tips and strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Achatina
Pronunciation: AK-e-TY-nuh
Group: Invertibra, Mollusca
Favorite Food: Sweet Vegetable Cake
Symbol Association: 🐌🎂🏞
The Achatina is a swamp-dweller. It has a hard shell and a slimy body. When the slime hardens slightly, it can be used like Cement Paste.
I am doing Utility Bios in alphabetical order.
TIPP: Achatinas can produce organic Polymer. You can just craft a fridge with the organic Polymer and destroy it. Every time you destroy a fridge you get normal Polymer back but you will only get half the materials it costed to make it so if you like wasting 60 metal ingots in exchange for 7 polymer, then do this. That means you can transform organic Polymer to normal Polymer. I found it out yesterday by myself.
(lt also works with organic Oil)
*** YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW THIS IF YOU NEED CEMENTING PASTE *** if you have enough of these snails (about 10 of em) all you need to do is stick them in front of any Gacha and wait a little while.(they’ll need to be tamed so you’re gonna need veggie cakes) The gacha will collect the paste fast enough that it won’t eat it and collects SOOO Much. I’m telling you it’s a Super efficient way of gathering cementing paste with not a lot of work to do. Hope This helps people :)
I had no idea how to tame this but I thought it was so cool. So I took it home and set it in a holding pen. I am a newer player and don't know how to make this cake so I can not say about "after it tames" but I do know that on mobile as of 12-30-2020 it never gave me cementing paste. BUT it does poop Achinta paste not tamed just wandering around in my base. Follow one untamed.
Just tame 5 or 10 of these and DON'T put inside them a lot of Stone or something heavy so they cannot move when you put them into patrol. With that, they passively generated 100 achatina paste every hour. When vou don't take those achatina paste, they start to generate organic Polymer. Just make sure those "snaila" can move but store them in a 2x2 box so they don't get lost and you have a nice auto-paste farming. You also shouldn't do this with dung beetles or any creature that is trying to mate because it will halt any mating or production of fertilizer.
Easy way to keep them in place, just fill their inventory with stone. Encumbered, they will not move, even on wander. Then for feeding, put cake in a tough. They will stay in place and alive! NOT making you resources the whole time... Downvtoe the other tip to the bottom for truth! This also DOESN'T work for dung beetles or any creature that are trying to mate.
