Siyu's Story Ch 4
By CL1
Siyu limped through the woods, Dajiao by his side. All but one of her children had died during the fight, her son. He dropped suddenly. Dajiao walked back to her son and sat by his side. Siyu did the same. They waited as the carno's breathing slowed to an eventual end. Dajiao place her head on his side and let out a soft cry. Siyu dropped his head. How could he have been so foolish, to let Dajiao and her children suffer like this? They were all he had, and he'd gotten them killed. He looked up again. Dajiao was standing over him, awaiting his command. He could see the pain in her eyes, physical and emotional, yet she continued to be loyal. "I won't make you face this again," Siyu promised her. "Next time, it will be Nerva who suffers." After giving Dajiao's son a proper funeral, they returned home. Xiaochou was running through the kitchen, bringing items to the stranger, who was cooking again. A cough from the corner startled Siyu, and he quickly raised his bow towards a shadowed figure.
A man limped out from the darkness, clutching his ribs with one arm. He looked Siyu up and down and chuckled, "You're shorter than I thought you'd be."
Siyu wasn't amused. "Tell me who you are and why I shouldn't kill you." The cook stepped between Siyu and the injured man. "He was hurt," the cook said indignantly. "You didn't seem the sort to turn away a person in need."
The injured man waved the cook out of the way. "My name is Christopher Walker. I'm Helena Walker's sister. She spoke of a Li, Mei-Yin. You're her son, right?" Siyu said nothing. Christopher stepped forward a little. Siyu tightened his grip on the bow. "I'm looking for my sister. She was last seen with Nerva and Mei-Yin. I heard Mei-Yin was missing too. I thought maybe you and I could work together to get answers out of him." Siyu remained silent, his bow still trained on Christopher's head. Christopher sighed, "If you want me to leave, just say so, but say something at least."
"My mother said Helena knew everything about the creatures of the island. Do you?"
Christopher laughed, "Well, not as much as her, but certainly more than anyone else." Siyu lowered his bow. "Good. If I'm going to get answers out of Nerva, I'm going to need a new army."
That’s terrible Syl!!! I’m so sorry that happened, I’ll be praying for you. I know you’re in a hard place rn and are very upset. If you need any help feel free to just ask.
And remember, there is one person who we can ALWAYS look up to to help us in our troubles. Jesus is always there for us, always with us. No matter what.
Any help we need we can always count on him and him alone. I’ll be praying for you.

From Ben
Hey unknown person, we'll definitely remember you. It's not been too long anyway last I checked. Honestly its always been a small world here: who isn't there to remember?
Glad you all enjoyed the finale for TAOH. Not much else to say. I guess I'm relieved. I no longer have to follow a strict deadline. Idk, its hard to explain this feeling of writing and finishing such a long story.
Wyvernian, Chapter 11 of OOS was great! Its nice to see how everythings coming together to tie in to the beginning of HOP. Honestly none of that would have happened if it werent for King Drake and Primalis. Salizar was pretty chill before the people he cared about died. Poor dude symbolically died (at least the young version of himself). Anyway that was cool!
It is interesting that people still use this app for stories. I haven't been on this app in literal years but I'm glad to see the writers are still doing things. It is surprising to me that moon is still active. I doubt anyone remembers me so there is little point in putting a name here.
To Ben,
Ty so much for making TAOH. It’s one of my favorite stories ever and may just be one of the most amazing ones on Dododex. I loved Chapter 100. Sad pathetic little me was crying with that ending the whole time. I’m so glad I got to read this awesome story. I’ve only cried one other time whilst reading a book, and that was after reading a death in Warriors of my favorite character. Thank you. I’ll cherish the memory of TAOH forever.

⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVENT READ CHAPTER 100 OF TAOH⚠️
Ben, OMG chapter one hundred was amazing!! The best so far!!! I have so many feeling about this chapter and I can’t possibly describe them all. RIP Samuel. We will miss him. Dan Walker…meh not so much. Yk, I never liked Samuel at first but gradually as he began to change…he’s not so bad tbh. But I wished he hadn’t died!!!! Oh well…not everyone can survive in a story after all. 😭😭
But tysm for making TAOH. I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again, it has become one of my TOP FAVORITE BOOKS. It. Is. Amazing. A gift to the world!! I’m so glad that I was here to read it!!
Okay that’s all I have to say now, lol. Cya later!!

Hi Ben, I think for me my favorite while I’m writing stories is going through the plot, before going through what I want to write down for the story while I’m writing it. How I’m going to reveal new characters and show scenarios that are going to happen. With how some parts just come as you start and how some parts just come to me and immediately work with the story. It’s probably one of my favorite things to feel when coming up with a new part of the story!! It personally just my favorite part of writing right now!
-Apex
Just let out 86, expect 87 in the next few days.
And Wyvernian, I am LOVING how Pop is going, thought I’d tell you that so far my favorite characters are Nash, Ron and Bones. I must say, the plot is pretty great and I love the personality you give to each character.
And here’s more of my worm hehe <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Hey guys. It’s Ben. Finally caught up on the entire lore of Dododex Achatina Stories Section. Actually captivated me, wow. So many people and faces with so many backstories and tales of their own. Fascinates me to think that 8 billion entire people on this planet have their own rich history and story to tell, and that we are but a sliver of said number.
2020, year of Dodo Tales
2021, year of Red Pike
2022, year of John’s Adventure
2023, year of The Obelisk
And I’ve gone through it all. I’ve read through every single message. It’s like I know you all by heart now. And part of me regrets not coming here sooner. I shouldn’t have given up so easily, back in May.
And, uh, something strange occurred. I can’t find The Obelisk Chapter 1 or Dodo Tales Episode 1 anywhere in the stories section of Achatina. Concerning.
Also did my reading, I’m halfway through Heroes of Pandora and I gotta say I actually like it a lot. I like the idea of perceived weak creatures fighting against a bigger threat, and I like all the characters’ personalities interact and conflict with each other at times. My favorite character so far… that’s a hard one, I like Ping even though he’s kinda dumb. Can’t wait for his character arc, if he has one.
Also just finished Chapter 84 of Obelisk. I enjoyed it even though there wasn’t much plot progression as the other chapters, or character development, but it was still fun to see the other characters interact with each other. Also finally seems Crimson is warming up to Rust, at least by a little bit.
That’s all. - Ben
Okay guys… you got me. Seems chapter length is too long so I’m going to shorten it as best as I can. It’s going to be like 200-300 words per ‘chapter’, and it is to my unfortunate telling that it is practically impossible to shorten each chapter’s storytelling. So what will probably happen is the chapters will be separated into parts. Maybe 3-4 per Chapter, all in the same section so that I can save as much space as possible. I dunno, I’m just really invested in this, man. This is the first time I’ve had fun writing in ages.
Also I think I’ve seen you before Lynx, deep down in the trenches of this tips section. Although I’d have to check just to be sure. I’m thinking of creating an archive of every single tip and comment in the stories section of this Achatina, to keep track of everyone.
Anyway guys Chapter 3 will come out whenever I feel like it. But in the meantime, if you have any character name suggestions put them forward. I would like to add some, I think it’d be nice to have characters based off someone you know. - Ben
Hey guys, it’s Ben. I apologize for my long hiatus from Dododex, I was really invested in this other project that I’m passionate about, so that didn’t leave me enough time to come here and leave my thoughts. Anyway, just finished reading Chapter 83 of Obelisk, and I liked it a lot. It seems Nyx is constantly going through self-doubt and uncertainty, her biggest fear is not being needed or holding others back because she isn’t as experienced or old as others (I think). Someone might come around and comfort her, or give her the cold truth that not everything will be so happy and sunshine all the time. Maybe it would be Crimson, because she’s depicted as kinda mean, but seems to be more drawn to the shadowmanes than the others.
Anyway, my favorite author is, I actually don’t know. On Dododex I’d obviously think it’s Moon and her story The Obelisk, but outside of Dododex I think there are some other interesting options. I like Marie Lu’s series “Legend”, and, there are some other fun tales to read, I’m sure. I also like reading Minecraft Fan Fictions, like Steve the Noob and Dave the Villager. I enjoy both stories, so if you like to or have an interest in Minecraft, you can go check those out. Though it costs money if you don’t have Kindle Unlimited.
Anyway, to anyone who aspires to be a writer or fanfiction maker one day, but you can’t seem to get the hang of it, don’t worry about it too much. One’s skill in writing is not defined by their vocabulary, dialogue, or structure or how good it sounds, it’s based off the creativity and imagination of the creator. Those who can twist a tale and intertwine their characters and plotlines fantastically are really good at their craft. So, don’t give up just yet. With time and practice comes even better writing.
That’s all for now. I definitely will try my best to check out Heroes of Pandora by Wyveranian, Jointed Mysteries by SpecialRaptor, and A World of Dinosaurs by One Who Reads. And, it is to my pleasures that Chapter 2 of The Arks: Over Heaven is released in the Vulture tab. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
