Stories Tips

What are some stories about the achatina? Memorable achatina stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.

Duke, read the prologue of ur new story and it seems great so far! We dont have any advice or criticism at the moment since its so early on in the story. Though if you haven’t already, consider why Jasper abandoned his family/kingdom, and consider what exactly Elm wants to do (though you’ve probably also done that. You might wanna consider what you’ll do with worldbuilding (what ARK/map does it take place on? how does Prince Jasper’s old kingdom run in terms of government? culture for wyverns, how they view and treat other dinosaurs/creatures? important locations?) sounds like a lot, but you can gradually review and add more as you go along. For now just focus on developing what the plot will be like and the main goal of Jasper and Elm.
DiploLover, well, I already view CON as a book and you as an author. If you’re talking about becoming a professional one, its not exactly my expertise. Just look into if you wanna get a publisher or self-publish, and what audience you’re looking to push CON toward. As for whether you should continue working on CON or work on ur other ideas, I highly recommend finishing CON before working on anything else, especially if ur first few stories are difficult making it past the first draft. You’ll be a lot more focused and can finish your stories faster than working on multiple stories at once (unless you have the willpower and stamina like some more seasoned authors here have like Moon, Wyvernian, Apex etc.) Also really dont suggest reading the explorer notes in game… just read them on the Ark wiki. If you want a more visual representation, watch NeddyTheNoodle’s Survivor Stories, which basically turns the Explorer notes into movies ingame. If you want a more auditory audio book-like explanation, watch NeddyTheNoodle’s ARK lore explained.
Sang, I’d still read your GenshinXArk fanfic even tho i dont know the lore for Genshin, but if you want to expose that crossover fanfic to people who actually have knowledge, you could explore other more generalized fanfic sites, since DDEX isnt really designed to be for fanfic. Off the top of my head sites like AO3, WattPad, Fanfiction.net. You could also go the Genshin Wiki Community Discussion and ask if theyd be interested, tho its only a matter if THEY know Ark lore. Up to you, dont stress and lose too much sleep about it. And yes, We do indeed have our own wiki. Theres also a discussion forum on there (theres a button for it) so if you wanna talk there too you can make a Fandom account and all that jazz. Mostly art pieces get sent there, and other stuff too.
Relating, Chapter 14 of JTAC was good, lots of intrigue built and the like. Nice seeing Terad again and also good intrigue built on Denine’s shotgun being normal? No criticism or advice for now, just keep building upon it. Also a possible idea to build more upon characters is to have certain parts of the chapter focused around their POV and thoughts. It’s a good idea to have a good amount of perspectives, because it can create moral dilemnas and force the reader to choose sides (which can be difficult to choose sides if multiple POVs are executed correctly). For example, a POV explaining Terad’s overprotectiveness and his thoughts could make the readers more understanding and accepting of his actions. Yeah thats about it.
Guys, I just saw this, and literally knew nothing about it before... WE LITERALLY HAVE OUR OWN WIKIS! I found mine while looking up The Five Talons of Abberation out of curiosity... and BEHOLD! My own wiki!! I dunno why, but this makes me so happy and excited. So yeah. Just saw!!

It is really easy to find out all the lore. First, you gotta start on the island, survive like you would, and find explorer notes. Then, once you are level 20 or more, try going into the caves. Then easiest cave is the Artifact of the Hunter (In my opinion). Then go from there. The hardest one is probably the one in the redwoods because it has poison gas. Once you do all the caves, go to all of the Obliesk and fight the bosses. Then go to the volcano, and fight the overseer. When you defeat him, big stuff will happen (Lore stuff).
I hope this helps!

Hey Ben and KM! Thanks again for reading my stories! Anyways, yes. I definitely intended for there to be that romantic tension- and their romance is going to be much more believable than Aderyn and Kade's. I do just need to have a romance in my stories, as a shipper. As for if it'll work out? We'll just have to see. You can definitely tell that Kiri is more on the wilder side- while Syaoran is more calm and mysterious. I assume with the fast pace of Yi Ling's, any Yi Ling trainer would be wild. But yeah, we'll just have to see where the plot leads! (I'm not quite sure yet myself, but I'm sure it'll be interesting.)
-SangToareGirl, who really appreciates you guys giving your opinions on my stories.
Primal, I actually have a level or 2 on Hatchet? But how would I find you, especially since Dododex on my side has a 3-4 day tip refresh time?
Anyway, I dunno if you have Discord, but if you do, my username is dinoslayer. (Don't forget the . At the end.) If you don't have Discord, we can try to figure something else out. Until I get a Discord request or Dododex refreshes.
Side fact, they are bringing back the sleeping in beds in Single-player.

The Terrible Demise of Tortuga Character List - Story by SunnyFox57
Part 1/4
Summary + Lore:
Tortuga is a cruel city on a remote island with cruel laws and strict law enforcement that do not mind taking away the lives of other human beings. The Petersons are newcomers in this enigmatic town, with an enigmatic past of their own. Each Peterson (excluding the mother) carry their own unique medallion, which gives them a special ability to protect them from harm’s way. The story takes place after the events of ARK, and because of the little technology and elements left over, the world was thrown into an old-school environment with things such as telephones being common place. The island of Tortuga was formed by a volcano known as “El Elemento”, which formed on its own during the time of the ARKs and contained melted element rather than magma.
The “Petersons”:
Aragorn: The father of the Petersons. A fierce, yet protective man of the family, he is cold to strangers whom he does not trust. He is especially protective of his children. He also cares for his wife very much and loves her with all his heart. He wears black all the time. At Tortuga he worked at the docks. He is a good singer, just like his wife, and he started a band with his brother Tom, and a friend of theirs, Cole. His medallion power remained unknown, but he, somehow, did not have a shadow as Michael noted. He has overwhelming strength, as he managed to hold off many peacekeepers before being inevitably apprehended along his wife. He was hanged due to Michael’s decree.
Arianna: The mother of the Petersons. She is very caring and kind to her children. She is much more approving of Emma and Andrew’s romantic tensions, unlike Aragorn initially. She is quite the romantic with Aragorn. She is also an extremely talented singer, just like her husband. Unlike her husband and children, she does not possess a medallion because she married into the family. She was also hanged due to Michael’s decree.
Emma: The main character of TTDOT. The eldest child of the Petersons, she is 19 years of age and is the target of the new mayor of Tortuga’s infatuations, Michael, which leads to many conflicts in the TTDOT. Her medallion power allows her to see events in different times, and in different locations, whether it be through dreams or conscious. Her love interest is Andrew, whom she ends up marrying. She becomes blind at the end of the story, something which she blames on herself for unknown reasons. She is honest and does not hide things she may deem as potentially dangerous. During the British Bombings, she and many other Tortugans hid in Josh Swan’s secret bunker in the sewers.
Jay: Twin of Jack Peterson, 13 years of age. He always wins in chess games against his brother Jack, which means he may be a bit more strategic and cunning than him. Jay is also more favored by the younger children in the Peterson family compared to Jack. He is protective of his older sister Emma, despite his youth. His medallion power allows him to create portals out of thin air to other locations. During the British Bombings, Jay’s power activated, and he escaped Tortuga via his portals.
Jack: Twin of Jay Peterson, 13 years of age. He may not be as smart as his twin but he’s still a good person who cares about his family a lot. He gets embarrassed easily. His medallion power allows him to have high regenerative capabilities, allowing wounds to heal very fast. During the British Bombings, he had been found by British soldiers, who shot at him, mistaking him for a pirate. Luckily, with his medallion power, he managed to stay alive.
Jaquin: The younger brother of the Petersons. Six years old. His medallion power remained unknown. He was presumed dead by Jack during the British Bombings, but an unknown fiery creature had jumped in the way of a bomb that was set to kill him and his sister, Josephina. He and Josephina were taken in by Tom after the demise of Tortuga.
Josephina: The younger sister of the Petersons. Six years old. Her medallion power remained unknown. She was also presumed dead by Jack during the British Bombings, but an unknown fiery creature had jumped in the way of a bomb that was set to kill her and her brother, Jaquin. She and Jaquin were taken in by Tom after the demise of Tortuga, more specifically because she looked exactly like HER (whoever that is).
Apex, the prologue was really good I like how you brought back the pego, didn’t he say he had a blue and a red rune as well? Maybe having all three could do something special.
Sunny, correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Rust a deinonychus? I understand why you would imagine him as a pego because the obelisk often makes him seem small, i sometimes imagine him as a pego sized deinonychus. But I’m pretty sure he was a deinonychus. I could be wrong..

Okay… so I just looked at the crunch. The Center date officially announced with the Shastasaurus releasing along with it!!! And besides that and the awesome Ark Addition Anomalocaris that Garuga made. Not much else in the crunch that is fact.
Time for the speculations. Now in the written teaser for the Center, they say ‘double the size’. Is this hinting at the map literally being double the size of the original Center or is just a cheeky placed statement that is stating the previously known fact that the Center is double the size of The Island? Also if the Shastasaurus is going back to the original plan to The Center. Does that mean the Gigantoraptor is going back to Ragnarok or is it now no longer a temporary mod and is a permanent mod? Will that mean we are getting the runner up to Ragnarok?(Okay I doubt this one will happen but you never know🤷♂️)
Well, Until Next Time!!!

OoOOOoOOooOooohh scorched looks amazing! No map expansion unfortunately 😔 but still good, at least there’s new caves and they upgraded the old ones, I love the reddish sand it helps with the Wild West theme of the frontier adventure pack and it looks nice also the Wild West themed stuff is AMAZING my base will most definitely be an old western town, with a train just for fun if not anything else 😂 the fasola and oasisaur look great and I like how they are making all the newer creatures have different taming techniques it makes them way more interesting. So the oasisaur is tamed by reviving a tame in the resurrection pool and guarding it from waves of vultures, first off, wasn’t expecting that but it’s cool 😆 second do you have to guard the souls of every tame you try to revive or just the one you use to tame the oasisaur? Because on one hand I think it would be more balanced if there was a challenge you had to do to get your tame back and if you lose it’s permanently dead but on the other hand… imagine the stress of only having one chance to get your beloved tame back.. but if you fail you just lost it again… 😖 that sounds really stressful…
-future Sheriff/Mayor Wyvernain of whatever I name my town.
Wyvernian, I’m going to say that they won’t say anything about Scorched until the exact time it releases and that it will probably release around 4-8 PM EST. If I remember correctly, that’s when they normally release new maps. And I definitely think that it’s good that we don’t have any word yet. If we did, it would either be really good(being released on all platforms) or just bad(that they are dealing with some issues that will take time to finish).
Sunnyfox, I read chapter 7!!!! I enjoyed it!!! I just realized how many twins there are in your series!!! I can’t wait for the next chapter l!!!!
Until Next Time!!!

Everything has an ending. And, there is no such thing as immortality. All stories do. And the inspiration and life they bring to other creators will eventually come to an end as well.
But that wont stop us from trying anyway. The present matters more than the future. Thats what I always thought. If you destroy your present in hopes of a better future.. would it really be worth it? Will that future even come true?
I just wanted to say thank you again Moon. Your story is the reason this community even continued to live on, this community is the reason why my story even exists, and the very idea of it. Youve brought a lot of people together. I give you props for that. I think its safe to say youre a legend here, Moon. Some readers and writers may have faded away over the months, but that didnt stop you. Im sure they would be proud if they saw you finished this story. Maybe, maybe another version of us is celebrating with them.
The air feels heavier. Ive not been here as long as others such as Wyvernian or PrimalApex, but it sure as hell feels like it, looking back at all those lost souls.
Well we aren't meant to live forever.
Thanks for the story. Thanks for the ride. It was a fun one 😌
- Benjamin / OBJ
Hah! I figured it out I just gotta repeatedly refresh until the new tips pop up
Moon, that did kinda seem like the end but it definitely needs a sequel and if not an epilogue, to explain what happens to the five, I’m hoping for a sequel so I can keep reading tho..
Apex, 100% agree with everything you said, and I never thought of that but that would be amazing if they reverse April foolsed us and released the center with scorched but I doubt it because of how recently they said they delayed it because they’re “partners” were too slow. But we’ll see.
Ben, Caldren was the dinopithicus kings son not to be confused with the dinopithicus king boss the actual lost island boss is what they call the “high king” that’s why the king says the artifacts are a “gift” from the high king. Caldren is a hybrid his mother was the gigantopithicus princes, and his father was the king of the dinopithicus (again not to be confused with the boss) in hindsight, probably should’ve called him the emperor dinopithicus or something so it wouldn’t confuse with the real boss but.. too late now…😖 glad your liking the series so far.

The Red Pike
Walkers story part Seven
By Jedi
Walker sat on the porch of Siyu's house, once again. He carved his bow, once again. And once again, he was bored. He finished carving his bow, and then set out to hunt something. He killed a couple dodos, has a close encounter with a carno, and destroyed a titanromya swarm. That's when it came. A creature peaked him through the undergrowth. It watched as he harvested the body of a dodo. It walked over and looked up at him. Walker looked back at it. He recognized it as a pego. He shoowed it away, and continued to harvest the meat. It leapt at him and grabbed his bow, then took of running. He had worked on that bow for weeks. He wasn't letting it get stolen. He ran after it, getting slapped on the face by many twigs and bushes. The pego kept running until it slammed face first into a rock. It leapt at him again but he barely managed to shoot it in the leg with his crossbow. It fell to the ground and whimpered. He felt bad. He couldn't leave it to die. And to be honest, well, it looked kind of cute. So he fed it some berries and tamed it. He put it around his shoulder, and began the journey home. I'll make you, Bandito."
*Bandito is Spanish for bandit. I thought it would work for a thief. I only know this because of Google translate.
