Good evening ladies and gentlemen!!! This is your (UBER LATE) Ark Community News.
Before we begin, I want to start by saying I will leave a full review of the content and lore added behind the recent addition of Lost Colony. Anyway, back to the news.
First things first. I do want to say that the Lost Colony DLC has released!!! With over 13 new entities/creatures, and eight of those being completely tamable. Along with all new skill trees, roaming npcs, new structures and weapons, and dozens of cool skins. The new DLC for ASA has hit with a bang!!!!
In later new from January, Wildcard officially released a roadmap of new content DLC (mind you this does not include remade maps releasing, crossover content and possible Fantastic Tames coming within this time period) coming in the future of ASA. With this year’s DLCs being a revamp and hopefully redoing of Ark’s most beloved battle royale, Survival of The Fittest made and now run by Studio Sirens. The creators of Aquatica... Which should come between March and May.
Followed by Tides and Fortunes, the first of two Bob True Tales expansions which will release alongside the free DLC editions of Genesis Part I and Part II. This DLC is being looked at releasing Quarter II of 2026 (which for all will most likely spell out being released in July and/or August). This DLC will bring urge of booty stealing and da love of da sea to those who have an itch to be their inner Jack Sparrow as you command the sea as a filthy sea lubber. Or maybe even a scaly wag. As this DLC will most definitely be bringing Pirate themed adventures to the new and extremely expanded oceans of Genesis Part I.
The next DLC for 2026 will be that of a mini in game Dev Kit, which will be called World Creators. This is planned to release Quarter III of 2026. And is promised to be a way for Console and PC players to make their own maps and share them in the community mod page. So to those who fancy their world building and creator style building games. World Creators will be the DLC for you.
The last new paid DLC to be announced to release for Quarter IV of 2026 is by far the most anticipated DLC bt the community. Which is called Dragontopia. This DLC by Wildcard has promised to bring a HTTYD style of gameplay to their new dragons releasing with this map. Giving you more of a growing partnership with these animals over the instant domesticated animals we have in Ark currently. While not much has been said. Everyone has their ears perked in hopes of a HTTYD crossover with this new map.
And while this is the only officially revealed stuff for 2026. Next years content for 2027 has also been announced with Nekatus making a new map called Atlantis, the Star Wars themed DLC of Galaxy Wars: Bob’s True Tales for Genesis Part II newly expanded space biome, and a special edition of what is called Legacy of Santiago releasing at the end of 2027.
Speaking of Nekatus, Nekatus has announced his new content releasing for his largest map yet. The Greek Wonder that is Astraeos. This update which he calls his Mega Update releases thw new finished island of Pyranthos. The new desert wasteland filled to the brim with caves, new environments, and ruin. New monsters fill this land with such monsters being the Scorpian King, Scorpian Queen, the giant minotaur Minotarchos, the tamable Grand Tortugar. And the epic boss that is the Hydra. There will be so much more to unpack within the next few days. As the release of the Mega Update that is Pyranthos releases February 25th of this year.

I just realized tonight I COMPLETELY skipped the Chalicotherium in my story. I skipped the Ovis on purpose but the Chalio was on accident. I double checked Chapter 7 and nothing.
Well it spawns on Aberration… should I do it in the Aberration segment, use it in my Chapter 25, or just ignore it entirely?

Duke, Chapter 3 of FAF was very awesome. The glowing baryonyx is very intriguing and I’m wondering what its ties to Jasper are, it really got the wraps on the others. I will be around for Chapter 4.
DiploLover, the past 3-4 chapters of CON were very interesting! We are glad to see that Astra didn’t move on to Prince within just a few days of Apollo’s death, and it just made their little moments of living together just a bit more special. As for the mystery, time-traveling wolf, I have a feeling that it’s Ridley. He’s one of the only tan wolves in the story, and the only reason why he’d help the prophecy wolves is because he had to. The tan wolf in Chapter 34 is most likely Future Ridley. Here’s what I believe happened.
KJ and his group of wyverns were meant to decimate Ridley, Jane, Pax, and Reign, because the cloaked wolf was never a part of that timeline. I imagine that Jane was killed, and Reign and Pax were tamed. Ridley managed to time travel by absorbing Pax’s power, because we know as Shadow he was able to do that along with Adira. Ridley traveled back into the past, long before Ridley had ever become Shadow or met the Prophecy Wolves, but still at a point of time where he got his powers from the Beyond (as we know, Past Ridley was unfamiliar with those experiences he obtained after traveling into the future). Future Ridley then transported Past Ridley into the present day that we are familiar with, where their plan began to save themselves from KJ and his group. After that happened, Past Ridley (who I’ll now call Cloaked Ridley) obtained all the memories of Present Ridley (the Ridley we know). Cloaked Ridley was ordered by Future Ridley to interfere with KJ’s plans of killing the Prophecy Wolves at the swamp. Using his invisibility, intangibility, and Future Ridley’s knowledge Cloaked Ridley sabotaged the attack and saved the Prophecy Wolves. The reason why he said “I’m back.” to Present Ridley is still unknown to me, but if Present Ridley was meant to survive and travel back into the past then that means he’d be the next Future Ridley. This explains why Future Ridley tpld Cloaked Ridley not to kill all the humans or something. Present Ridley will now have to travel back into the past and be the next Future Ridley, so the integrity of the timeline remains stable and so that it doesn’t mess up how things shouldve gone. If the humans were killed, Present Ridley won’t feel a need to travel into the future, and everything will be messed up. The Future Ridley of now is the one who started the loop.
I know it’s Ridley, because him, Duke, and Apollo were the only confirmed ManipulationPaws. Not only that, but Ridley is tan, and Duke wouldn’t care to save his brother after what he did to him. Thus, it has to be Ridley. As for how Future Ridley could heal Cloaked Ridley, I’m not sure. I think it’ll have something to do with the Diplo’s Weeds (this sounds so wrong lol). Future Ridley probably found it and could absorb it to heal Prince, but wanted to keep the others alive so went back into the past to change the future. I think Present Ridley will keep going, find the weed, then Cloaked Ridley will appear and make Present Ridley travel into the past to fulfill Future Ridley’s roles. Cloaked Ridley will become the new Present Ridley, with only a few memories misaligned and incorrect. I think this will be how Jane comes to trust Ridley again, because this Ridley technically never did anything wrong, he only has the memories of the current Ridley. Yeah I made it more complicated than I should have.

DiploLover, Chapter 29 of CON was awesome! Prince and Pax really cant contain their lust for Astra even though her lover died like a day ago smh 🙄. Im wondering how they’ll get Reign out of that sticky situation and what KJ’s true name is, since they abbreviated Ripley Jane to RJ.
Ben, I’m glad u like my story! I can’t wait to read your next chapter! Things are getting instersting. 😏. Im sorry I won’t be posting any chapter today bc I’ve been busy but I’ll be working on it. Btw who is y’all’s favorite character in my story so far? I think my favorite is probably…Jay. I intentionally made him sarcastic and funny. Anyways…Cya!

No daily chapter today :(
Sunny, I did read Chap 13 and 14 of Tortuga and so much has already been revealed. I guess I was right about Tom and his spouse (or ex-spouse? We still don’t know if she died or if she left him). Aragorn does feel a lot of regret for him, and it’s really sad that it ended up that way with their friendship :’( I wonder who the other people were in the photo? Other friends? Only time will tell. Also I guess the mayors perished, Mayor Roi and Reine. But something seems a bit fishy to me, they seemed a bit healthy in my opinion. What if they were assassinated by their own children?! That’s why their children didn’t seem to really care about their parents’ death… But that’s just a thought. And of course Mr. Creepazoid is being a weirdo again as always. Don’t know why he’s even considering marriage just to be with a pretty girl. Such a selfish and inconsiderate brat.
Yeah that’s about it. I’ve also been playing ASA, single player as Wyvernian suggested (thanks for that) and I’ve been making great progress. I got myself a thatch hut near the red Obelisk, and I have tamed an Iguanodon and Pteranodon. I tamed a Parasaur a while back but it died to Troodons. It didn’t have a name, maybe that’s why it died so easily. I’ll be naming my dinosaurs from now on so they don’t die so easily. I did a bit of explorer note/dossier hunting and I was able to get to Level 70 easily because of that. One of my goals besides defeating the Overseer is to collect all the explorer notes, along with taming all the dinosaurs and getting max level as we wait for Scorched Earth and The Center to release this year.
One thing I dislike about ASA is the grass. It makes it way too hard to find dead dinosaurs in the grass, so i’m already losing resources by the second (especially precious chitin). Sometimes I can’t even find my own stuff, because they removed corpse locators in favor of the ping system. I wish they re-added corpse locators, or make a setting to disable grass, or just add outlines/tracers to dead bodies in the vicinity. It would make my life easier, considering ASA should also be adding quality of life things.
That’s all for now. I’ll keep you updated on my ASA journey as time passes. And, maybe tomorrow I’ll release Chap 16 of The Arks Over Heaven. But that’s not a promise.
So about your question Wyvernian. I am pretty interested in the creature and the new additional DLC’s for the maps are something I kinda wanted for some maps for a long time. I have wanted a few more Fantasy Creatures for Ark and getting this Reefback of a creature is pretty awesome to get!! Of course if it was a Gorgonops I would be much happier. But the creature looks pretty awesome and it definitely a big addition!! For a price of about 10 dollars I would pay for this new DLC pack 100%. Trains and wagons are something I’ve always wanted to see come into Ark since SE first arrived. And to pay for it I don’t see any problems with it. Now about it being PTW seems very hard to comprehend for me since what will most likely happen is that these DLC packs will have their own servers away from the normal servers. Similar to what we see with official mod servers on PC. That way there’s no huge problem with people building trains and riding Oasisaurs and others unable to build or ride them. But that’s what I think will happen. Also I hope we do see two creatures for each map, but it might be we are going to be waiting on the Centers DLC or that it’s only for Story maps.
Also just wanted to mention that I haven’t yet released any of my chapters to Journey yet, I will start when Moon finishes the Obelisk. But in the meantime I am happy that I’m just able to write my story down as much as possible beforehand. I will though be very excited and nervous to showcase my story once I start releasing them!! But anyhow. Until next time!!

I just posted chapter five and six of TTDOT. Also Ben I just read your newest chapter. Let me just tell you: not only is there loving brewing between Neddy and Ruby but also between Aurora and Samuel. They might not always agree but… there’s definitely something there… the way Samuel is trying to protect her from her fury it’s just….😉. Also it’s funny how Star is trying to keep them apart. She’s like: Samuel is mine! Anyway I don’t think Lynx has left Dododex, she posted a few days ago in silver dye but idk much about anyone else. Cya!
