Thanks for the tip Sunny, I think I’m going to put the Valentine’s Special in Fjordhawk then. Then, Chapter 24 shall be placed in Featherlight.
My favorite character in these stories… for Hope’s Cry I’d have to go with the Kongs, especially Mara Kong she’s a nice fellow who sounds like fun to hang out with (i think ive said this at least a few thousand times by now). In HoP/PoP I’d say Ping since even though he’s not as smart as the others he’s still brave and will fight for the protection of the Arks. In Overseer, I’d go with Ares the Carchar because he just seems really cool considering he’s also the leader of the Carno Investigation Agency, i think that was the name (although I would have expected a Yutyrannus because, yk, Yutys can call Carnos for backup). In The Obelisk I’d go for Crimson too since she’s a really deep character and honestly’s got a lot going on. More of a misunderstood character than an “evil” or “rude” one.
And in Tortuga? that’s even tougher for me since there’s a lot of characters I like. Andrew’s a gentleman, but he doesn’t have much background except the fact his father is a doctor. Mr. Swan is a really fun guy, considering he used to be a pirate but decided not to, BUT I feel like he had very little screen time so I can’t say him for sure. The twins were also really fun in the beginning of the story with their interactions, but Emma quickly overshadowed them so I can’t pick them either. It used to be Aaron for me, but he was quickly dwindled out to more of a minor character so I wouldn’t say him. So, I’m left with a few options: Aragorn, Arianna, and Tom. Arianna is actually a really good mother, she takes good care of her children which is very very good of her, and Aragorn is a pretty great father too. But I don’t like Aragorn as much anymore after reading Shadow Phoenix… but Tom is actually a really likable character! In Tortuga he was represented as a “villain with a tragic backstory”, and he was made even less of a villain because he only showed up twice (in a dream, and in the epilogue where he didn’t really do anything evil). He’s less of a villain, actually, and more of an antagonist. So all in all, Tom’s my favorite character. Could I have just said that from the get go? Yeah, but this is more fun. Out of all of these stories Tortuga has THE MOST characters that are fun to root for.
I guess I should read Chapter 10 and 11 of Shadow Phoenix. Let’s see… Okay, so I’m a bit of a goof because I didn’t realize Leah would turn out to be Tom’s lover. She’s blonde, first of all, which is the dead giveaway, and these previous two chapters were like the nail of the coffin. I hope nothing bad happens to Leah, like her, untimely passing (please 🙏🙏 No More Deaths). Welp I just jinxed it.
I also really feel bad for Cole. He likes Arianna, but Arianna probably doesn’t even like him back. Not that that sucks, but they say when you like someone you lose all sense of rationality. Cole probably doesn’t have courage to make moves or do anything, because he is afraid things will go wrong with her if they do. That’s how it usually works. Not like i”m speaking from experience, I’ve never liked anyone that way.
And the switcheroo… What a dirty trick, Sunny!
And also I think I discovered Aragorn’s power. He can probably use his shadow to do things, huh? Is that why Michael realized Aragorn had no shadow? Hmm, but then at the time where could his shadow have been? And would his shadow persist even after he was hanged?
Also I appreciate the cross references to The Arks Over Heaven everyone, it’s really fun seeing them pop up every once in a while 🙂. Poor Aurora indeed (i love to traumatize her).
Also what could it mean by Tom will be king soon? Hmm, at least I got the hint that Tom is his older brother. Usually the oldest son gets the crown. And Thomas is his full name, that’s right.
GUESS that’s all I have in store for today. And for Tom’s medallion power? I think it should be something pertaining to his ghostly skin in Tortuga. Like Tom’s medallion power made him that ghostly white because he abused it. Idk, that’s all I could think of. Or something relating to the mythologies he reads (about Sirens and all that). Welp seeya!
Answers to Ben about the “Questions to consider”
Okay, for me I’d say these are my least favorite characters(excluding my own right?):
D.T guy in ark over heaven, bc he seems very mean and…poor Bob, the terror birds in The Obelisk, Ember Black in Hope’s Cry, and as for HoP and PoP I’m not really sure bc most the characters are all very nice for the most part, and I don’t really like Fuzzball’s siblings bc they made fun of him and thought he was nothing. 🥺
If I had to transport to any story in one of these fanfic stories I’d probably go into the ark over heaven bc most people there are good guys in the book club and are sticking together to survive and I wouldn’t be alone.
I’d probably describe the ending of TTOTSP as…rageful. Thats all I can say. 😏
Finally, my days have been well. I love my family, hate school, and I’m trying to follow my lord and savior Jesus no matter what. I hope y’all are doing well, I keep you all in my prayers.✌️

Ben, wow! 3,600 words! Oh my gosh, that’s shocking to me. I can’t wait to read it. I would suggest you post it here in achatina but it might get buried so….you could post it where you’re next chapter is. Maybe? Idk, hope this helps you! Also I’m wondering what you meant by saying that ur valentine special will be more satisfying if they read TTDOT. Hmm…looks like I’ll need to call Detective SunnyFox to investigate. Cya!

yk what, before I head out for the night, i have a few questions to ask, Questions to Consider!
Who's your least favorite characters in the Dex stories youve read so far? For me its gotta be: Michael in Tortuga, Ravagers in The Obelisk, and for Hopes Cry and HoP/PoP i cant say for sure since all of them are pretty fun. And for Overseer Id go for Fuzzball's family since they didnt believe in him.
If you were forced to transport to one fanfiction here on the Dex, which would it be? Id personally choose Tortuga since thats AFTER the arks and seems safer compared to the other stories.
If there was one word to describe the ending of your book, what would it be (if you know what your ending will be like)? For me, I have to say... melancholic.
Finally, the most important question, how has your days been going so far?

Okay its time to read some cool chapters from everyone here that released and dive into it!
Chapter 20 of GhostGamer’s Hope’s Cry was finished, and now I know what that white room is. It’s probably some sort of infirmary where the dinosaurs that the Gigantopithecus recruited are being nursed back to health. And ha ha, that’s pretty cool how that Jerboa is basically me! The references in Sunny’s Tortuga and GhostGamer’s Hope’s Cry is pretty neat. Also, peculiar, humans can talk to creatures in this world?
Also who are these humans? Mars, Hope, and Evelin? And is that where the name Hope’s Cry comes from? I’m guessing these characters are going to be important in the future… although I don’t know how. Also it’s kinda crazy how the raid on Allosaurus Island did so much damage to their numbers. I’m wondering where Dawn went, and the other recruits. Hopefully they’re safe.
And Chapters 8-9 for Shadow Phoenix were released. Man, I didn’t know there’d be another ball! I guess they’re going to go, but the more I look at it the more I realize James/Aragorn is so much different in Tortuga than compared to here in Shadow Phoenix. The whole thing that happened between him and Tom must have changed him like that. Well, not like I’m complaining. I’d rather have cold, mean Aragorn than stubborn, stingy, and potentially immature James.
Also Toe Crusher Tabitha is crazyy. That’s gotta be the funniest part of this chapter, imagine dancing with Toe Crusher Tabitha that sounds terrifying. That could be a villain name tbh.
The more I analyze, the more I can feel something bad arising from this situation. Cole likes Arianna, but James is eventually going to get with her, and from the looks of it this could cause a chain reaction which leads to the destruction of River Bend City. After all Tom claimed that everywhere Aragorn went, destruction followed. And if James fights to take Arianna away from Cole, Cole might get a little bit upset. Very upset, actually, considering they’re best friends and Tom knows Cole likes her! Maybe this is how things are destroyed. Cole gets mad, does something crazy, but somehow this ends up with Tom’s lover getting killed so now Tom hates Aragorn. Yeah that’s probably it.
Well, you know what they say. It takes one to know one. I know for a fact that if I was only a reader and not a writer I probably wouldn’t be able to pick up any of these details and put them to use. Well I’ll see you guys next time! And I’m having quite the blast working on the Valentine’s Special. Only problem is I don’t know where I will post it… someone please give me a suggestion!
Well Sunnyfox, that is an interesting thought. I thought personally that Star is the star of dodo tales season 5. But it does make a lot of sense that it could be Nova since Nova is a state of a bright new star. Also Paige is Goth Power, she was a reader of the Obelisk a while ago and would pops back in every so often. But I just read 22 and I really enjoyed it!! Until next time!

Ben, first off thanks for reading my story! I’m sorry if the prequel is a bit boring right now but don’t worry it’ll get interesting. And yeah unfortunately Cole does like Arianna. Also Arianna had golden strawberry blonde hair in TTDOT but in TTOTSP she has brownish red hair. She didn’t dye he hair it just naturally got brighter. Also Tom was not talking about Arianna when he thought that Josephina looked like “her”. Also yes you are correct Emma’s blindness did come from her power. As for Joe’s blindness… well I can’t say much. It may or may not explain what happened to Mrs Lois the traitor and Mrs Hawkthorne. Also I don’t know if you saw it but Andrew’s father was a doctor and was slightly in TTDOT but that’s all. Anyway I hope you’re doing well!
