Chapter one- loss and recovery
It was far past sundown and the midnight was cold and the eerie silence was only broken every so often with a howl from the dire wolves in the redwoods by the riverside, a jeraboa couple were walking along the sand crunching beneath there feet “stay close” whispered a large black male jeraboa: Kate “and stay quiet.” He added he well knew the dangers of the redwood.. especially at night, darkness enveloped them as they entered a dark den between a tree and the river, “we should have stayed in the dessert” growled maisy: a small tan female jeraboa “we weren’t safe safe there.. the if the land dragon’s wouldn’t get us the death worm would.” He said glaring at maisy. “It wasn’t my fault.” She whispered trying not to make eye contact she knew it was.
