Get yourself a direwolf. I dont know why metal hatchet is rated highest for gathering. Direwolf absolutely destroys for pelt. Gathered 4k pelt in +- 10 minutes. Have 2 ascendant armour pieces already. Target rhinos mainly.

Get a good tame and go to the beaver dams

By a dire wolf dire wolfs are fast and they can run in packs and they give pelt and if you tame one they can kill oviss or sheeps

hatchet hatchet hatchet on corpses is the best way for pelt harvest

So far chainsaw has been the best for me to get pelt, on sheep i get around 7k

Chainsaw gets the best pelt prob bc it's a chainsaw

If you tame an ovis and keep it in cryo for awhile, you can pop it out later and put all thee levels in health. Kill it and use an Ascendent chainsaw on the ovis for hella pelt and mutton. On 2x w/ max chainsaw you can get 7k from one ovis.

Just kill the ice titan for it. Simple

Use ptrentedon on the redwoods and kill the deers

I hunt dire bears for pelt . Occasionally beavers but not often . Imma make a megaloceros farm

Kill yutys with a thyla you will like 600 pelt

Equal gives same amount as dire bear so pick wisely

How to get a ton a pelt

1.Get an acendent metal ax

2.Kill a mammoth

3. Harvest pelt

Use a chainsaw. An accendant one if you have it. Using a chainsaw on deinotherium or mammoths and so on gives so much pelt that my meguana even has a hard time carrying all of it. I'm talking more than 2 thousand pelt here.

If your a starter, read this: in the south regions of the map "Island" asteroids spawn there. Their dams have good loot, but if you want to go to the Artic, kill the asteroids to get a desent amount!
