If your a starter, read this: in the south regions of the map "Island" asteroids spawn there. Their dams have good loot, but if you want to go to the Artic, kill the asteroids to get a desent amount!

Creatures filled with pelt like sabertooths, daeodons, Thyalcoleos don't drop pelt, But otters with an extremely small amount of pelt drop it 😐
