Here’s what I’ve had success with:

1. Find you Cerberax

2. Try to get it into an open area and knock it out with whatever you have.

- If the colors on the Cerberax are lit up it’s in some kind of defensive form and seems to take somewhere between only 1/2 to 1/4 Topor from any kind of tranq so wait until it’s colors are not lit to shoot

3. Once knocked out put about 5 stone gateways around it to keep it in place

4a. If the green or blue head is awake do the mini game (use best food you can for green head)

4b. Save the red/orange head for last. Once you are on the orange head you will knock it out open up the gates and then get on and do the mini game.

5. Once it flings you off for the last time you need to try to knock it out ASAP.

6. Once it drops it’s as simple as a basic knockout tame.

Subnote: I don’t know if the bug is fixed yet but there was a bug where if you were on a server with boosted tame rates the green head is not possible. So if you are noticing that the green head is eating about 10 of the prime meat with little to no progress the bug is still going on.

Once the Cerberax comes out, it will be a three-part taming process. You will need to do a different things for each of the three heads to gain their “trust”. First you will need to shoot it with tranqs until it only has the energy to use one of its heads.

The first head will require you to mount it and then follow the provided movement instructions to wear down its energy.

The second head will want food so likely prime meat, mutton, and a higher tear kibble will be the best.

The third head wants to hunt so fighting and killing wild creatures will be required. As of right now I don’t know if it will mark the creatures it wants you to kill or if you just need to fight anything you can find.

Once tamed, it should be able to be mounted by three players, one for each head. One person will have control of the central head and most likely the body/movement controls. Two other players will be able to mount it and control one of the two other heads.

I believe that this will be a great new addition to the game however it will cost you $10 before you can actually tame it.

The Cerberax is a 3 (technically 4) part tame. When you knock it out, one of the three heads will pop up and be able to be ridden. You will have to repeat this process 2 more times before tranqing it a final time to allow the normal feeding process. When successfully completing a task the Cerberax should launch you off its head and roar, giving you time to flee.

The lightning head will have you play a minigame where you must keep a slider over an arrow and keep doing so to fill a bar.

The fire head marks a target for you to kill, each kill giving a % of your bar (not sure what affects this).

The poison head will require you to feed it, seemingly accepting the food from your last hotbar slot. You can only feed when the head begins to turn and snap at you.

Once you’ve completed each head, the final knockout will be a regular feed. Good luck!

If anyone is having the issue of the green head not going up fast enough then change your taming speed to a 1

For anyone wondering about the different taming games for the three heads.

Poison: Feed the head as it bites to fill its bar, extraordinary kibble works best

Fire: It will mark different creatures near you, kill enough of them to fill the bar

Lightning?: The middle one requires you to play a game where you control a bar and have to keep it on the arrow displayed on the taming bar, this arrow will move rapidly, as per the others do this until you fill the bar.

Finally you just knock it out a 4th and final time. (You have to knock it out 3 times prior when you are initiating the minigames)

If you want a good suggestion, it is a good idea to fly in a way. Tek, or even an argi. If you decided to trap, Id recommend using metal gateways. Theres a chance stone works (havent tested yet) but either way, Id still suggest being real ready. This thing killed one of are real mutated carchars in less then a minute. And for a reminder, dont trap it until the fire head is done, otherwise you've just doomed the trap

If you encounter this thing then…. You’re a liar cus it’s not out yet

Watching other people trying to figure its mechanics and getting eaten is fun. Been awhile since a tames mechanics had a degree of challenge to them

The hunting part will mark where the enemy is like the gigantoraptor mini game when imprinting babies.

We have encountered 1 because it came out 3 days ago and let me just say they are very scary
