YYYYY DODODEX WOULD U REMOVE THE SCIENTIFIC NAME?!??!???!? YYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're trying to tame a Yuty, please, don't try to pick it up with ur high lvl Wyvern...
(I checked the chart, and nothing could pick it up D:)
How to tame a Yuty!
The Trap
Materials: 6x stone foundations, 20x stone double doorframes, 4x stone ramp.
Place the foundations in a 3x2 rectangle, then the doorframes 2 high vertically on the perimeter. Then go to one of the sides that has 2 foundations and place the ramps.
The Trapping
Use a flyer (Pteranodon). Be sure to kill all the Carnos that follow it around before trapping it. Be careful of it’s roar, as it will scare your mount and you will lose control for a certain amount of time. Aggro the Yuty and get it to follow you up the ramp into the trap.
The Tranqing
Use your tranq ammo of choice (Tranq arrow, tranq dart, shocking tranq dart) and start shooting the Yuty. Be careful of the Yuty’s roar while dismounted, as it will scare off your Pteranodon and you most likely won’t be able to find it (I learned that they hard way.
Other Utilities
The Yuty has a courage roar that will give all Dino’s within range a damage buff and will take reduced damage. It also has a fear roar that will scare off most small/medium Dino's.
Now you have tamed a Yuty!

My taming strat: get a good argentavis to lure away + kill surrounding carnos. Park the argy on a high rock somewhere, then come in with a good Rex (at least 4500 health), aggro the Yuty, set Rex to passive, and jump off. Shoot the Yuty while it's distracted by the Rex. Make sure your movement speed and stamina are high so you can chase it down when it starts to run.
Easy late game taming
1. If possible get a harpoon launcher and net
2. Find the specific yuty you want and shoot it with the net
3. Put two stone Dino gates regular on top of it whilst it’s netted
4. Knock it out and tame it with kibble or meat
5. Enjoy your new Rex dodo chicken
Kill all carbo because he can recruit then
When he roar and can give courage roar to boost damage
took me hours finding and taming this guy get him trapped and use the bow as it’s much quicker at reloading! good luck guys
Solo taming build a little base and shoot form there
When they’re knocked out put a metal box around them it really helps also if you don’t have any Kibble use prime meat
This video works with yutys as well https://youtu.be/mPoTSLicKnc
Using the old OG Trike trap works. Fence foundations, door frames, and a ramp. Lead it in, run out, knock it :)
I found a lvl 135 up in the mountains with three carnos, nothing too high level. Tamed him in a pillar box with a ramp after many attempts and finally downed him. I kited him with an argie but was very difficult to kite him without get affected by its roar. I killed its carnos by getting them agroed on other creatures and killing them with my high level argie.
If u are looking to tame one make sure it isn't fighting mammoths. The yutirannus died.
Honestly what I do to tame it is get my Desmodus and shoot it from far away. Yes, it does get affected by the roar but that is why am at a decently far distance. You gotta be really good at aim tho. I usually use my bat for lots of tames. Pretty easy for most dinos.
If you have Desmodus, attach to a wall and fire one dart. The UT will fear roar but you won't detach and you can wait it out. After, just fire away until he runs, then detach from wall and chase and shoot. Took me about 15 minutes of chasing but he didn't fear roar after he started running. Used this after traps failed me
Ok, first get it aggrod on u and have your trap ready and get ready for the run of your characters life and run like your life depended on it bc it does and run it into the trap
They obsessively go after wild dinos. If you carry one one your flier they'll follow you to try and get the wild dino. Easily lead it to traps like this. Just make sure there's nothing else around to attract its attention.
Mine got stuck in a rock so i shot it from a far distance till it got knocked out chances are i won't get that lucky again. Oh and if there are carnos around it they'll run when its big boi is about to be knocked out.
Wood signposts is ur best friend when it comes to taming and can be used for most things
Except gigas
