These guys spawn a ton on valguero, just tamed a lvl 140 red yuty to add to the mutation breeding pile

The Actual easiest and best way to tame one. Is pick it up with a skiff and use whatever you want on it, a frog, scorpion, clubs even. The skiff will hold it helpless forever. You can carry it back to the safety of your base first even.

I know this is not a beginner tip. But it is the easiest way

The skiff works on pretty much anything you could want to tame. Especially quetz and griffins.

It cannot pick up managarmrs or gigas or elementals.

One thing which I like to use is a good flier, because once the yutys, start torpor running they cover quite a bit of ground pretty quick and the flier will help keep up, or a fast ground mount, it would also be helpful to ride a mount that allows yuh ou to shoot while riding.

The best way is with a Wyvern and a few darts

Okay, so, to all who say that they are great for terrain, i beg to differ. I had a yuty on the island, and, sure enough, i went to cross the river by the hidden lake. Got stuck under an ice berg and drowned. Then, couldn't get over a freaking 2 inch tall rock by whitesky and was mauled by a mammoth. Finally, i found a red yuty, and tried to get it up a trail by the grand hills, and sure enough, got stuck on a rock and was bitten three times by a 180 rex. NEVER AGAIN

Well,

1. Trap it

2. Knock it out

3. Tame it

4. Ride it around like a horse.

You can use kibble to tame it, but the recipe for the kibble is so stupid I doubt anyone has ever made it. Better just use mutton. Luckily Ovis often spawn in the same areas.

Pick your wild terrifying Yuty with his cute Carno army. Then go a bit away, build a stone trap. (They fit in a 2x2 trap, 2 walls tall.) I recommend using a Wyvern to make it follow you to the trap because they aren't affected by Yuty's roar if your riding them. Carefully kill the carnos and others dinos around (preferably kill them before putting the Yuty on the trap, but know it you be hard lmao). Dismount and get your Wyvern away so it won't be affected and run by the roar. And knock it out! I love Yutyrannus, they're amazing.

Build 4 stone Dino gateways and two doors. Place them in a column with player spacing between each gate. Lure yuti into gate and shut doors. Tame and claim!

I built a 4 x 7 motorboat trap. I use 25k hp argy with a good saddle and I kite yutys and gigas into the boat move the boat a slight ways off beach careful to stay in shallow water to avoid leads. Then tame at your leisure. Fyi to learn to center 4 foundations wide there is a giga boat building tutorial on youtube.

So get a wyvern !

Lure carnos away and kill them all (my wyvern does 600 damage per bite so if yours does less maybe don't kill 6 carnos at once and just lure them away)

Then lure the Yut into a dino trap.

Wyverns aren't affected by the roar effect

Divide and Conquer. Get Rid of Carnos and Trap it. Then Tranq it

This creature's scream does not affect Wyverns and Giganotosauruses.

If you're lucky, you can find one of these alone. I would recommend targeting one that is alone, unless it is too high of a level or too low. Therefore you don't have to worry about Carnotaurus trying to kill you. Kill off anything ot might try to pick a fight with, like mammoths (you can use the prime meat from them to tame it). It takes a good amount of arrows so best if you use tranq darts instead. Just be careful of its roaring because there could be Carnos nearby.

If you live very far away then get an argy with good stats (really good stats not too good but good) stats like at least 700 Stan 2000health at least that if u live very far away like me also maybe some weight if u are doing a trap

A lot of expensive taming tips here... Here is the easiest cheapest way:

1 stone foundation

3 double door frames and 1 ramp...that's all you need...no behemoth gates that cost an exorbitant price....

Place the foundation and one double door frame on a side. Place a ramp on that side. On the opposing side, place 2 stories high door frames. It would look like this (somewhat): |_i\

Run straight through the trap and go between the door frames...ta-da...

Also, you may wanna kill carnos first with an argi...and bring a lot of tranq amo...

Stand on a bronto with platform saddle and a ton of health, ignore the carnos, shoot it, when it runs chase it on bary, thyla, raptor, or deino and shoot it from there, remember to keep them in cryopod while on bronto or they get fear roared and run off. Also beware there are direwolves everywhere you will hate them more than troodons

I just tamed a 135 by seperating the yuty from its carnos with an argentavis, yeh I got fear roared multiple times but after some time I placed 4 Dino frame gates with 2 doors on each end and had my friend run in and I close the door. Once trapped it was pretty straightforward tame just became cus things wil attack the yuty while it’s knocked out
