step 1: buy genesis season pass

step 2: grind genesis 2 until you have the net projectile

step 3: go to a mission terminal and put the net projectiles in its inventory

step 4: go to an obelisk(on other maps) and take the projectiles

step 5: craft a harpoon launcher

step 6: shoot the net on the yuty and kill carnos(preferably with rex) shoot another net on the yuty

step 7: k.o. yuty

step 8: TAME.... THE.... FLUFF REX

How to build a easy trap (super cheap)

What’s needed: two dinosaur gates ( any material I use wood ) two dinosaur gate doors. (For best chance bring extra gates)

Go on a flying Dino recommended arg or wyvern, find a yuty and place one gate in front of it then place the gate door, place the other gate behind it really close and then place the gate door. This can take multiple tries being you have to know what your doing.

Warning: your Dino that your flying on can get scared very easy and loose control and fly away, to not loose it stay mounted and if it flys away you will be on it.

These are definitely my favorite dinos in the game by far, they don’t camouflage very well so easy to spot lol. Not very good damage itself but they make your rex a giga.

Approach on a bigger mount to avoid aggro and trap it using regular dino gateways. Kill excess carno and tranq as you see fit :)

My go to method is 4 stone gateways, 2 gates, and 1 large bear trap. Put down gateways with enough room for a human to squeeze between. Put large bear trap inside. Get Yuty to follow you into trap. Once it steps into bear trap, run out of the trap and close the doors. Done!

Don't underestimate this giant chicken the yuty is one of the strongest dinosaurs

Shoot it out with traqu arrow from far away.

God they are stubborn. Trapping is the only way!

Who would’ve known! Looks to me like a raptor and a chicken screwed up with each other and made this. Fuse it with human dna and you get a piece of crap. Trust me I’ve tried.

The kibble to get for this is cancer. Takes a tribe to get the kibble ready.

Best way i found to knock it out,bring something to kill the carnos, get on something high enough it cant reach and leave your carno killer further back so it doesnt spook, tranq the shit outta the yuty till it knocks out, then kill the carnos after their buff wears off.

Takes as long as a quetz to raise. Really annoying considering it has similar stats if not the same as a Rex. Pretty cool chicken doe.

If you stay on a cliff just outside of it's reach, it's an easy tame. I just did it in Extinction's desert biome. Kill/KO the carnos and MAKE SURE THAT YOUR TAMES CANT HEAR THE ROAR.

These guys spawn a ton on valguero, just tamed a lvl 140 red yuty to add to the mutation breeding pile

Okay, so, to all who say that they are great for terrain, i beg to differ. I had a yuty on the island, and, sure enough, i went to cross the river by the hidden lake. Got stuck under an ice berg and drowned. Then, couldn't get over a freaking 2 inch tall rock by whitesky and was mauled by a mammoth. Finally, i found a red yuty, and tried to get it up a trail by the grand hills, and sure enough, got stuck on a rock and was bitten three times by a 180 rex. NEVER AGAIN

The Actual easiest and best way to tame one. Is pick it up with a skiff and use whatever you want on it, a frog, scorpion, clubs even. The skiff will hold it helpless forever. You can carry it back to the safety of your base first even.

I know this is not a beginner tip. But it is the easiest way

The skiff works on pretty much anything you could want to tame. Especially quetz and griffins.

It cannot pick up managarmrs or gigas or elementals.

One thing which I like to use is a good flier, because once the yutys, start torpor running they cover quite a bit of ground pretty quick and the flier will help keep up, or a fast ground mount, it would also be helpful to ride a mount that allows yuh ou to shoot while riding.

The best way is with a Wyvern and a few darts

Pick your wild terrifying Yuty with his cute Carno army. Then go a bit away, build a stone trap. (They fit in a 2x2 trap, 2 walls tall.) I recommend using a Wyvern to make it follow you to the trap because they aren't affected by Yuty's roar if your riding them. Carefully kill the carnos and others dinos around (preferably kill them before putting the Yuty on the trap, but know it you be hard lmao). Dismount and get your Wyvern away so it won't be affected and run by the roar. And knock it out! I love Yutyrannus, they're amazing.
