Chapter one: Memories
“She was looking kinda dumb with her finger and her thumb in the shape of a L on her forehead—” James sang at the top of his lungs, in a unharmonic voice.
Tom looked up from his book and gave James a stern look. “Can you cut it out?! Im trying to study for my history test!” He snapped. James smirked and tossed his hair carelessly. “Bro it’s just a test. Give it a break.” James said. “It’s not just a test! It’s the last exam of the year! Have you done yours yet?”
“Nah.” Tom blinked at his brother. “Well? Aren’t you?” He probed. James shook his head, rolling his eyes. “I think I’m just going to copy off yours.”
“James! You can’t do that! That’s cheating! And don’t put your boots on your pillow! That’s unhygienic.” Tom exclaimed. James raised a eyebrow.
He was sitting on the top bunk, his booted feet resting on the pillow. Deftly he pulled his black boots off and threw them at Tom. Tom ducked, barely missing getting hit. He glared at James.
“You know…sometimes I hate you. If only someone could make you more polite.” Tom snapped. James smirked and wagged a finger at Tom mockingly. “Many have tried and failed.”
Tom rolled his eyes. “I could make you..” He muttered under his breath darkly. James rolled over and hopped out of the bunk, not bothering to carefully climb down. He plopped down at the desk in the chair right across from Tom.
Tom gave him a stern serious look. James raised his eyebrows and wiggled them back and forth, grinning. “So Tom, whatcha doing?” He asked. Tom hid a smile. “Homework James. Duh, what did you think I was doing?” James just sat there grinning like a cat. “Stop making that face. You’re annoying me and I’m trying to study.” Tom growled.
James didn’t move. Tom sighed. “James please! Stop it!” Tom growled. James pursed his lips. “Only if you do one tiny little thing for me.” James said. “What?” Tom asked. Then stopped. “No James. I’m not doing that. I told you that I would never use my power to help you do your pranks. I’m not helping. NEVER EVER EVER.”
“I can’t believe you’re forcing me to do this.” Tom said, him and James tip toeing down one of the castle halls. James grinned. “It wasn’t that hard. You kind of volunteered.”
“I did not!” Tom whispered back. James raised his finger to his lips. “Shhh.” He said. Tom glared at the back of his retreating head and then followed him.
They stopped at a balcony over the the royal garden. The plant keeper was taking care of the plants. “OK. You know what to do.” James whispered. Tom sighed. “You promise that you’ll stop annoying me? I’ve never tried…controlling someone before.” He whispered. James patted him on the shoulder.
“It’ll be fine. I mean they still have full control over their mind, right? Ok let’s do it!”
Tom sighed once more and took a deep breath. He locked the plant keeper in his vision and his medallion began to glow dully.
BOOM. Suddenly he was in. A throbbing shot across the back of his head but Tom ignored it. He focused in on the plant keeper. The plant keeper’s head shot up and he put his hands to his head. “Agh—” He groaned. James motioned to Tom to be quieter. Tom closed his eyes and focused once more. “Shh.” He whispered mechanically.
Immediately the plant keeper went quiet. He didn’t say anything but he was starting to act frantic. The plant keeper opened his mouth over and over again, put his hand to his throat and seemed to be trying to speak but not. “What is he doing?” James chuckled. “Hey wait…make him jump and down.” Tom turned to his brother, a worried look on his face.
“Is that a good idea?” He asked slowly. James smirked. “Of course it’s a good idea! I came up with it! Go on.” The throbbing pains struck agin but Tom fought through it.
“He focused on the plant keeper. “Jump pls.” The plant keeper did nothing. Tom cleared his throat. “Jump.” He said. Immediately the plant keeper did. Again. And again. And then again. He kept jumping up and down, crashing into plants and vases in the garden.
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!” A voice suddenly bellowed. Their father Edward stormed into the royal garden, looking furious. Behind him strode their mother Queen Sophie, her gentle.
Still the plant keeper continued to jump. Up and down. Up and down. Up and down.
“Tom. Make him stop..” James whispered uneasily. “Stop.” Tom said. The plant keeper did, swaying dizzily on his feet.
“WHAT is this about?” Edward growled. The plant keeper opened his mouth and began mouthing words rapidly. Edward turned to Sophia. “You didn’t hire a mute plant keeper did you?” He asked. Sophie shook her head. “Then why isn’t he talking?! Sag something you fool!!!” He growled. The plant keeper still said nothing, rattling on silently, until tears gathered in his eyes.
He put his hands to his throat and kept pointing at it. “Why isn’t he saying anything?” James asked. “I don’t-know.” Tom said, trying to break his concentration. “Stop it.” James said. “I. Can’t. Stop.” James brow knit with worry.
The plant keeper was jumping up and down again and patting his throat. “I can’t—let go.” Tom cried. “Focus!” James snapped. Tom groaned quietly and clenched his fists.
Finally he managed to let go of the plant keeper’s mind. “I can’t—oh thank goodness I can speak. And I can finally stop jumping up and down.” The plant keeper panted. “What happened?” Sophie asked calmly.
Tom collapsed against the railing and he and James hid from sight. He looked at James. A strange look was in his brother’s eye, one he’d never seen before. Fear.
~
Tom awoke with a start. He gave a small gasp and put one hand on his back. Gosh, he kept forgetting how old he was. Probably don’t need to sit up too fast. “Agh..” Tom groaned softly, rising to his feet and stretched.
A loud cracking noise echoed across the room as Tom’s back popped. Tom sighed and walked to the window.
The clouds rose in a foreboding manner, black. The sun was unable to be seen although it should be rising. Tiny droplets of rain splashed on the window.
Tom sighed. It was time to get a move on. He’d been in Red Phoenix kingdom long enough, hiding as usual. After the funeral… he’d left. Josephina had begged him not to go. But he had too. He couldn’t stand the angry looks, the lurking guards, and the sorrowful faces of his nephews and nieces. “Coward.” A voice whispered in the back of his mind.
Tom shook it away. “But being a coward will keep me alive.” He whispered.

Origins of Salizar, Chapter 2 ~Torture~
“Things will be different from now on. No more coddling the apes. They are test subjects, nothing more.” Dr. Primalis said coldly. Dr. Flight and Dr. Haze glared at him. He ignored this. “Now. Let me review your work.” Dr. Primalis said. He took their notes on the new serum. “Hmm your forgetting one crucial detail Doctors. The DNA of these apes is not like that of chimps back home. This will only make things worse.” Dr. Primalis said. “Of course! Your right. Does that mean it won’t work for humans?” Dr. Flight asked. “Hmm, time will tell.” Dr. Primalis said. “I’ll get to work synthesizing the new serum.” Haze said. “Good, now, Doctor Flight. Show me these mesopithicus.” Primalis said. Dr. Flight opened the kennels and told the mesos to go to class. Caesar looked at Primalis defiantly. Primalis chuckled. Dr. Flight walked up to the front of the class, “Ok class, toda-” “I’m going to stop you right there doctor, they are not a class. They are subjects. This is an experiment.” Primalis said. Dr. Flight tried to hold in her rage. “Today we will learn about Multiplication.” She said. Salizar hooted happily, he liked math. “Silence mesopithicus! Doctor Flight is explaining.” Primalis snapped. “Can anyone tell me what 4 times 7 is?” Flight said. Salizar quickly wrote down the problem and solved it, he held up his paper for her to see, it said 28. “Good work Salizar! That is correct.” She said. Caesar wrote the same thing a few moments after Salizar. “Too slow Caesar.” Salizar said. “Just wait for art!” Caesar said. This was Salizars least favorite subject. “Enough chatting.” Primalis said. The class went on like this, it was very awkward, Primalis judged everything that happened, and he didn’t like it. After class the group went back to their kennels and rested, they were all asleep when Primalis walked in the room. “Doctor Haze, have you finished the serum?” Primalis asked. “Yes it’s ready.” Haze said. “Well then, no time to waste. Bring the subjects to the table. Dr. Flight obeyed. She brought out Noa. “Well? What are you waiting for inject the serum.” Primalis said. “We have to sedate him first.” Dr. Haze said. “I don’t see why. Inject the serum.” Dr. Primalis said. Haze reluctantly obeyed. He injected the serum into Noa, the ape instantly started screaming, “please! Sedate him!” Dr. Flight shouted. Dr. Haze got out a needle and sedated Noa. “I told you not to do that.” Dr. Primalis said. “It’s just narcoberries and rotten meat. What’s the issue.” Dr. Haze said defiantly. “The “issue” is I explicitly told you not to sedate the subject, and you disobeyed me.” Dr. Primalis said. “Your insane!” Dr. Flight said. “And your emotional. King Drake will be hearing about your insolence.” Dr. Primalis said. He left the building and flew away on his Argentavis.
The next morning Primalis arrived to the facility with King Drake and a few soldiers. Noa had perished. Drake was enraged, “YOU SAID YOU COULD FIX THIS!” He shouted, holding Dr. Haze up by the throat. “Ben!” Dr. Flight shouted. Drake shoved her aside, Caesar and Salizar started shouting and banging on the kennel bars. Primalis just stood back grinning. “I think neither of you are fit for this work. Perhaps you’ll do better herding our soakers?” Drake said. “No! Please! Anything but that!” Dr. Haze said. “Oh? The dungeon then? Take them out of my sight.” Drake said. His guards escorted the Doctors out of the Facility. “Primalis, see to it you do better than them! My daughter doesn’t have long…” King Drake said. He exited the facility and Primalis could hear the footsteps of his Charcarodontosaurus stomping away. Primalis grinned and turned to the two chimps. “Your mine now…” he said.
The next few years were hard. Primalis prevented their deaths, although at times they wished he hadn’t. Their days consisted of class, which with Primalis as teacher was no longer fun, he was a brutal, and cold man. And they had daily experimentations, which he never used sedatives for. He saved King Drakes daughter, but her sickness returned, her cognitive functions declined. Drake was furious but Primalis assured him he could perfect the serum.
Salizar barely spoke to Caesar, he grew distant. Caesar did too but he hadn’t lost all hope that things could be better. One afternoon Primalis walked into the lab with Drake following behind. “The mesopithicus subjects are far beyond my expectations. The dark one even understands the basics of Tek machinery.” Primalis said. “And..?” Drake said blankly. “And I believe it is time for human testing.” Primalis said. “It better work this time, for your sake.” Drake said. “Of course my liege.” Primalis said. That night a man was brought into the lab for human testings, it was Ben Haze, he was bruised and dirty, Primalis sat him in the chair, and injected the serum. “AAAAGHHH!” Haze shouted. The mesos both shouted at Primalis to stop, but of course all he heard was the max ravings of apes. “Please.. enough..” Haze pleaded. “How do you feel.” Primalis asked. “My head.. it feels… clearer. Like my thoughts are less foggy, I can see them- AAAAAAAAGHHHHHH!!!” Haze started seizing and foaming at the mouth, then he stopped. “No!” Primalis said in frustration. “What did I do wrong!” He shouted. Caesar and Salizar both cried, Dr. Haze had been like a father to them. They could only wonder what had happened to Dr. Flight. The next day King Drake arrived, he walked in the facility slowly, droplets of rain falling from his armor. “King Drake? A-an unexpected surprise.. I assure you last nights setback was only a fluke, I’ve already concocted a-” “SILENCE! … she’s gone…” Drake said solemnly. Primalis took a step back, “my lord.. I apologize.. I-” “you failed me… you know what I do to failures.” “Sire, please. I beg of you!” Primalis pleaded. “Enough! The apes will be put down tomorrow. As for your fate. I’ll decide tomorrow.” Drake said. He walked out of the facility. Primalis fell back in his chair, he didn’t know what to do. He walked away to his quarters looking bewildered. “Finally getting what’s coming to him, good.” Salizar said. “But what about us?” Caesar said. “We have to escape.” Salizar said. “But we can’t! Drake will hunt us down!” Caesar said. “You heard him! He wants to put us down!” Salizar said, “I’m going wether you come or not!” He said. “I can’t.. I’m-” Caesar started. “Your what!” Salizar shouted. “I’m scared! Alright! I can’t do this.” Caesar said. “Weakling! You’d sit here and hope the humans would spare you instead of coming with me!” Salizar shouted. “Salizar.. I I just can’t.” Caesar said. “Fine! I’ll go without you!” Salizar said. That was the last time they spoke, until they met back there again.
// Limitation // P1 S1 [A Yutyrannus Fanfic]
A large, feathered dinosaur stood atop one of the grandest mountains that graced The Island with its presence.
Gulf gazed at the immense island that stood below his feet. Although he and his mate lived around the Northern Plains, from the mountain he stood on he could view nearly everything. Redwoods, Grand Hills, Western Approach, Western Plains, Fars Peak, he could see it all.
Perching atop the mountain— Winter’s Mouth— Gulf felt especially powerful. Up there, nobody could really tell him what to do. He’d only let his mate and the giganotosaurus order him around. After all, what could a yutyrannus like him do to the most ambitious dinosaur on The Island?

Journey: Chapter 3
Forest woke up before their was light out to watch the sunrise, he was suppose to meet the rest of the five at the green obelisk to converse and to do a surprise that he had set up for all of them.
Before he left the cave though, he went into the small cave where one thing hadn’t changed. The plant, it was still alive and thriving in the cave. He quickly grabbed a leaf without hurting the plant.
Looking at the leaf. Forest kept remembering how he left without telling any of his family the first time, he wasn’t doing that again ever. He told his parents that he was leaving in the early morning to go to the redwoods and would come back the day after the celebration.
The five were going to stay in the castle from today to the day after the celebration at Prince Coal’s request. Forest knew he would see his family at the celebration. But for some reason, he felt today would be the last he would see them in a long while.
He shrugged off the feeling and got packed, he packed the rune as it was part of the surprise. He quickly looked at each of his family members before leaving and then he went up to watch the sunrise.
// Limitation // P2 S1
Everyone just knew not to mess with the gigas. They were mostly solitary dinos, and nearly every mountain was owned by one giga or a small giga family. The only mountain that wasn’t owned was Red Peak, the redwood mountain. Most gigas were quite generous with their mountains, as they knew it was many other dinosaurs’ habitats as well. Plus gigas need to eat. But generally they disliked friendly company.
Taking a deep breath, Gulf let out a loud, deep roar. As it rang through the air, he saw a couple of traveling carnotaurus lift their heads to look at him. They gave a roar in return.
Carnos and yuties were pretty much an allied species. If the yuties called for help, nearby carnos would aid them, vice versa.
A grumble behind Gulf made him turn around. To his surprise, Gnolo the giga was watching him with an irked expression.
“On my mountain again, Gulf?” He growled. “You know to stay off of Frozen Fang, especially off my cliff.”
Frozen Fang. It had taken Gulf a moment to figure out what he was talking about. Winter’s Mouth used to be called Frozen Fang. The giga that had owned Frozen Fang before had renamed it to Winter’s Mouth, then had mysteriously disappeared, quite recently.
“I…. didn’t know we were still calling it Frozen Fang,” Gulf said awkwardly. He was trying to avoid making the giga mad. A mad giga was something he didn’t want to deal with at that moment.
“My mountain. My name. My rules. Off.” Gnolo grumbled again. Gulf gave him an apologetic shrug and awkwardly scooted past him and made his way down Winter’s Mouth.
As he hopped down the mountain, he couldn’t help thinking about the disappearance of the last owner of Winter’s Mouth. Her name was Halbeth (silent h). She was a kind giga, a very rare thing to come across.
When he had asked the argentavis about her, they had said they saw nothing. Which was strange, because usually the argents see everything. Although they had mentioned something strange in the works.
Valo—one of the argents— referred Gulf to a griffin named Ghinomir. Most of the griffins lived on Fars Peak. He had said Ghinomir knew more about everything than anybody. Gulf didn’t entirely believe that, but there was only one way to find out.
He knew his mate would be back at their nest with their eggs. Rift will be fine. Gulf assumed. She knows how to defend herself. A quick trip to Fars Peak and back is only a day or two’s time, anyway. The eggs aren’t due to hatch for another week.
With that in mind, he set off for Fars Peak.

Chapter 66a: Hunter
“Bring the allies who trust me most… What does that mean?”
Skyler looked on at the other Book Club members. They seemed to be staring her down as she walked up to them. Did any of them really trust her?
“H-Hey everyone,” Skyler said, raising her hand to wave at them. Sunny raised an eyebrow at her, and turned away to continue talking to Gary. Paige rolled her eyes, and Bobby and Simon began to whisper amongst each other.
“I just, um, wanted to say, we should all go, to this cave. In one of my dreams, the dragon uh, she told me that I’d find something there that could activate the obelisk-”
“Another dream, huh? You’re such a good prophet,” Sunny sneered.
“Yeah, absolutely not. The newcomers are already off to find Tiffany, Chris is gone, and Ben disappeared randomly, so, I’m not gonna bother going. If all of us just end up leaving to do our own thing, and they come back to see this place lookin’ like a ghost town? Who knows what they’ll think.”
Rick stood up from the ground with his trusty book by his side.
“I’ll go with you,” he firmly said, “I believe you’re right.”
“Oh is that so,” Paige snickered, “Just don’t let Skyler almost kill you again, okay?”
“Paige, it was an accident. So quit it,” Rick snapped. Paige smirked again, and leaned back on the log. Skyler looked amongst everyone else.
“Um. Anyone else?”
Nobody else seemed to respond, nor care.
“I guess it’s just going to be us two,” Skyler said. The two gathered their things and began to walk out the gate. She thought, “Will there really be anything there? I sure hope so. I don’t want the only person who trusts me in this group to despise me.”
“Hold on, wait!” someone cried out. Skyler and Rick turned around to see Gary running up to them wearing a strange chestplate that seemed to be made of scales. He came to a skidding stop and put his hands on his knees.
“Let me come too,” Gary asked, “I won’t let just you two go alone. I won’t let you get hurt out there.”
Skyler smiled at Gary. So there were two.
“Of course. Let’s go, guys.”
The three began to walk south, toward the cave that was revealed in Skyler’s dream…
~
“So this is the cave?” Gary asked. Skyler smiled as she stared on at the thin opening, covered by vines and overgrowth and hidden within this small ravine. Her dream had come true. There really was a cave!
“Yes, yes it is!” Skyler said almost giddily. She began to walk forward into the cave, when Rick grabbed her by the back of her shirt.
“Wait. Something’s off,” Rick told her, “The book… The book never told us how they got their artifacts.”
“It never did? How do you know that?” Gary said with a raised eyebrow.
“I may or may not have read a little bit of the book,” Rick muttered under his breath.
“And you’re telling us this NOW?!” Skyler screamed, “We sent out so many people just to find Tiffany! And you’re telling us you’ve read the book already?”
“Okay, a correction, I read some of the book. Not all of it. But I do know the basic gist,” Rick explained, “And why shouldn’t we find Tiffany? It’s proof that she was correct about her book. We wouldn’t want her to survive out there alone.”
“Rick, we’ve already lost Chris, all the newcomers, and maybe even Ben. We don’t want to take any more chances. For all we know, they died out there. We have no means to communicate with them at all. We have to move on without them…” Gary said.
“But, but what about the book? We need it!”
“Not anymore. We already know that Skyler’s dreams have some truth to it, if partial. Skyler can lead us the way home,” Gary argued. Rick paused, looking away at a herd of Triceratops which grazed along the fields. He looked back, and unhooked his knife from his belt. Gary took out his pistol.
“Fine… Let’s just go in and get that artifact. If there is one.”
The three stepped into the cave, and then they were immediately shrouded in darkness. An eerie cry echoed throughout the cavern’s walls, and water dripped down onto the ground from leaking respiration.
Skyler reached for her belt and pulled out a pair of nunchucks. She twirled them around, both handles in her hands. She led the way for the trio, and as they descended further and further into the cave, eventually, they spotted something bright and shiny, something that pulsated with power.
“Woah… Is that it?” Gary asked with wonder.
The artifact was made of a strange, unrecognizable metal and was growing a bright green. It almost looked like a replica of a part of the green obelisk. Skyler walked forward to grab the artifact, but then, there was a strange shuddering noise.
BANG!
A metal wall had suddenly shut them in, blocking the way out of the cave. The fog that hung in the room began to dissipate, and the screeching of spiders filled their ears. Large spiders the size of humans began to crawl into the room from the cliffs above. The artifact rose in the air to the ceiling, out of reach.
“What’s going on?!”
SCREEECH!
Spiders began to swarm into the arena, and Gary raised his pistol.
“I think it’s pretty obvious!” he announced, “It’s just like a video game.”
“We’ll need to survive through the waves and hordes of monsters to get that artifact!”

Ark Survival--- Episode 2
One day there was an Albino Gigantopithicus called Jared playing with his friend Cheets The Dire Bear. And a mysterious human came over looked at Cheets and left. Later Jared found Cheets or his body stuffed full of strange green pointy sticks. Jared told all of his friends and that is how that one broken cave on The Island was created.
