Yall. These cannot be tamed. On Do do dex, it literraly says in stats, "This is an Alpha creature found in ice/snow cave". Exepect this untamable. Also, this shouldn't be a tame etheir. So whoever says this should be tamable, well actually... Think about this. Why? Well, its good to have an OP creature, but an Alpha?! Alphas are untamable, and have glowing red coming out their heads. Yeti may not have it, but it is an Alpha. Also, this would also mean having tons of power. If you tamed this, you could beat the game easily. It would go against a lot of things in the game. So think again about taming an Alpha.
More Yeti Encountering Tips
I reccomend bringing a Gigantopithecus.If you encounter a Yeti, they might sort things out
