Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a wyvern? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a wyvern.
If you want a early game wyvern for god now’s what reason on fjorder or lost island just get a maewing (you can use sinomacrops to follow it)and zoom in there and get a egg. Got a 160 ice wyvern egg but I don’t know what temperature or how many torches they take:(
If you do plan an raising wyverns without milk all you need is a snow owl and stimulants to keep it awake just keep in mind that torpor only rises if you are in render distance but health will decrease as normal
Griffin + whip = eggs
Use griffins to steal their eggs. Or go to crystal isles and passive tame a tropical wyvern then use that to steal eggs.
This tip will be for... ice wyverns because not that much people know where there eggs are. Here’s how to tame one
1.go to ragnarok
2.get a normal high leval wyvern
3.go to the ice biom by wyvern caves
4.look for and kill any ice wyvern you see after you have jollies a egg will be nearby
If you don't want to be followed all the way across the map just set up a bunch of turrets
Only bother with 175+ if you’re gonna get a wyvern go big or there’s no point
I would say level up the stamina and then melee damage. So if you to go inside a cave or try to steal an egg you would be able to survive and actually steal more eggs and not have to land more often than not
If you want to hatch your wyvern egg don’t forget the wyvern milk 😰
Wyverns are way easier to tame than you think, what me and my friends did on scorched earth was being a high lvl argentavis and a procoptodon pretty much my friends go into the trench and find an egg than tell me when to super jump so I can pull them away using tether distance but you can only do that on non dedicated servers
The way to get wyvern is to go and get egg from a trench
an efficient way to get the eggs on Ragnarok is go along a the coast on north east side of mmap will find black rocks and there will be a opening and go in slowly
My dad only collects lightning, fire, ice, poison wyvern eggs. Last night he hatched a ice one and one came out and turned into triplets and it’s the first triplets ever, we never got dinosaur twins or triplets.
When it wants milk just cryopod it then un-cryo
It seems that if the babies food gets low enough the milk gives 2400 food instead of 1200. Make sure you wait to feed your babies!
When you use the method of 16 campfires, then I suggest that you build a four by four foundation area, with the middle missing, have the campfires placed four by four, light them, then fill in the gap with thatch ceilings. This makes it easier with wyverns because they don't fall into the gap between the ceilings. I have tried this with dinonycus and they have fell between the ceilings. BUT wyverns don't. You want to do relatively the same method as with just campfires, where you have the eggs in the middle, but this made it easier, and Mt wyverns didn't die from fire damage.
Using a over raptor and a argy to avoid aggressive wyverns
YOU DONT NEED WYVERN MILK FOR BABIES!!!!!! I had seen a post about not needing wyvern milk and this guy just used raw meat so I did the same with a lightning wyvern on Ragnarok
And if your wondering I didn't use any tames to help the baby regen health such as the daeodon.....
BUT IF YOU CARE ABOUT IMPRINTED TAMES YOU MUST HAVE MILK..... Me personally I would just get one without a imprint then use it to get more eggs
My experience is very similar to everyone’s but my preference is to use a griffin kite the adults out get the eggs but hey many ways of doing it to each there own happy hunting wyverns on top 👍
I recommend using a desmodus in ark to steal these eggs, they have an invisibility ability at night
To incubate me and my brothers just placed a lot of standing torches (30) to incubate the Wyvern Eggs. Cost a lot of fuel but good for early on if you don’t mind the grind
