To the guy saying Wyverns aren't Dragons... you are actually wrong my guy even Drakes are a variant of dragon... Drakes are "wingless dragons" whereas Wyverns wings are also their arms.... To be classified as Dragon or must have 2 hind legs and 2 front legs. Please stop making this misconception 😩

Just got a 150 egg poison egg, hatched him up, raised him, and leveled him to 170, tried the wyvern trench on scorched again, got 1 shouted by a 180 alpha lightning wyvern…😩😩😩

I use the low level egg to tame titanboas. I have 28 wyverns now. I done it solo. It's not *that* hard. If an egg is below 170 I won't waste time hatching it.

Rock golems are the best way to take on wyverns, including the alphas, because they are completely immune to elemental attacks. You should be safe from fire and lightning if you’re riding it, though it seems certain angles let them hit you. Poison wyverns are more concerning as their attacks linger and can hurt you while mounted, but you can either get a gas mask or try to walk away from the cloud. The rock golem itself should be fine as it also takes reduced damage from the bites.

Be extremely cautious when you're attacking an ice Wyvern, their breath will slow you down, enabling them to keep you in place for long periods of time. If you're being attacked by an ice Wyvern, you're probably too cold to last long anyway. Ha. Good luck.

To the guy with the blood wyv looking for the ice wyv, yes, ice wyverns are still tamable.

However, NESTS ARE NOT GURANTEED TO SPAWN. You'll need to look at the multiple different spawn points for nests, and hope a nest spawns. I'd recommend using the Ark Wiki's list of nest spawns, they are usually listed on the "Resource Map". If you've checked all locations and they still haven't spawned, kill the ice wyverns and then fly far away to unload the zone, and come back to reload it. I personally, however, would not recommend getting an ice wyvern at all, as they are widely considered the worst wyvern type. Go for Lightning or Poison instead!

Oh my lord, okay so I was getting more wyvern eggs but there was like... 5 alphas, and I had to kill them but you need to have a high leveled argentavis or any flyer because my level 78 argy died to a level 123 alpha wyvern. I mean I could see why it died, but STILL IT HAD A HUGE CHUNK OF HEALTH AND DAMAGE.

In Solo at SE

Set up a heavy auto turret with 500+ bullets close where you want to fly out the World Scar.

Then with a high level argy lure out the Wyverns one by one and when the argy is tanking for you the turret will kill the Wyvern.

After that you can try to get some eggs.

Don’t forget to activate your turret or you will be no match.

Die with the egg on you and the wyverns will loose interest
