These are an essential. To get these EXTREMELY easy early game, tame a pteranodon and pump all its levels into stamina. Go to the Valguero Wyvern trench as it is the easiest in my opinion. Then time it perfectly and head in and grab the FIRST egg you see and dip as fast as you can. The level doesn’t matter because once you have one Wyvern you have unlimited basically. Do not stop until you are out of the snow area because they WILL catch up to you.

Step 1. Get a Oviraptor to steal the eggs for you. Believe me, doing it yourself, particularly on your own, is a death wish. Step 2. Hatch it. Wyverns are reptilian bipedal carnivores that are apex predators of their environment. Sometimes mistaken for dragons, Wyverns are actually a sub-species that is much smaller than the normal dragons. They are fierce creatures and will kill anything they see with a special breath attack, unique to each type of wyvern. Despite their ferociously, some survivors have actually managed to tame these beasts by stealing their eggs and raising them as their own. I have seen many ways that people attempt this, but the most popular way is to use a pteranodon or a maewing to quickly get in and out of the nest and escape the grown Wyverns. They need very hot temperatures to hatch, so this can be a challenge along with the fact that they cannot survive without wyvern milk until maturity. Wyvern milk that can only be extracted from a wild female. Their are four main types of Wyverns to hatch; fire, acid, lightning, and ice. Fire Wyverns are strong yet have weak range and acid or toxic Wyverns have decent range and stamina, but bad aim. Lightning Wyverns can shoot far and are very powerful, but use a ample amount of stamina, needing many rests when in combat. Their are the three crystal Wyverns, ember, tropical, and blood, but I shall not get into those as they can only be found on crystal isles, and are classified as a different creature. Once you have tamed a wyvern they can be rid without a saddle and are loyal and strong companions. Hopefully this answered any questions you had about these magnificent beasts.

If on Ragnarok, go to the wyvern cove on the bottom left side of the map. Use a Thyla to navigate the cave (yes a thyla). If you grab an egg or catch the wyverns attention, jump to the water below and swim to the entrance. Stay low underwater. You'll lose aggro in about 5min and can go back in the cave. Easy eggs, no risk, high reward. No more suiciding pteras or griffins. Can't believe this method hasnt been posted on YouTube. Yes it takes longer to navigate the cave, but you won't risk losing 20 pteras for one level 50 egg. My tribe has used this method to getcpuntless eggs without losing Any tames. You're welcome.

If u can’t get the milk use a daeodon a feeding trough full of meat and have them isolated so it doesent effect any other creatures the daeodon MUST be on passive healing it will heal the baby when it’s dying and the feeding trough will keep the daeodon alive.

If you don't have milk to raise baby wyvern, cryopod it and then throw it back out again. The desired food will change. Please upv this so more people can see

When stealing an egg stay above the trench and find a target egg. Then get a quick dino (argy heavily recommended) and wait for it to be kinda empty with no wyverns around. Then land and see if there's any wyverns then yoink the egg and dip. After this I recommend dying with the egg or just running as far as possible quickly.

I've spent enough time around why runs in ark tamed or wild to know that these things are overpowered they can be as tall as four players at the normal height there are four kinds of normal wyverns ice, fire lightning, and poison

Fire acts like a flamethrower ice Activa flamethrower if something wasn't too right about it. Let's just say the ice wyverns attack or at least main attack is to shoot out an icy flamethrower. Lightning wyvern to shoot I will beam of electricity that's does a lot of damage. Then we have poison wyverns well they have the side fins of a dilophosaurus and from what I've seen when you look closer at them they always have their mouth open and if you look inside and look directly at its tongue it looks a bit like a snake's tongue.

When stealing eggs if your on a single player world playing with friends you can use the 300 metre host border to get eggs. You get the host to die near the egg you want then you can pick up the egg and get the host to spawn at a bed and you'll teleport to them with the egg.

Remember... if on a poison wyvern... dont kill yourself with its special attack.. if you do... dont worry about your stuff... it will eat you and your inventory and wait for you to get back if on passive

It doesn't take much to knock this thing out, which is actually a little surprising

TIP FOR GETTING A WYVERN

if you want a wyvern you will need a Desmodus because wyverns don't attack them since they drink blood like the Blood crystal wyvern.

The Desmodus as a bat like thing for all those people who want or need a wyvern.

AND DONT FORGET DRAGON MILK!!!

If you can't get milk, use a snow owl and have some stimulant on hand. Keep healing the baby wyvern with the snow owl (RMB) and feed the wyvern stimulant or stimberries to keep it from falling asleep.
