Get a water Dino with a lot of health get grabbed go to its mouth and feed it black pearls go back on the Dino and wait until it’s hungry again and feed repeat until it’s done

Just tamed a 150 on an official server. Building a trap high off the ocean floor works great just trap it and rotate out 150 tamed turtles hp pumped. Took about 2 hours with pearls for the tame. Took 50 pearls every 5-10 min. Happy taming!

Best animal to transfer other animals (its so, so , so , so deep into the ocean)

Don't bother wasting sweet veg cakes and risking high level dinos. Get it to grapple your mount, feed it, swim away with your mount on passive and follow, squid will let go after a while, wait above the squids aggro level until the feeding interval is up and then go back to feed it again. Rinse and repeat until tamed. You don't need to stay in the squids grasp for the whole time, affinity won't drop whilst you wait above it.

You can easily kill other tusos and alpha tusos with a decent level one yourself. Just stay above their ascension limit and attack from above. A wild tuso cannot grab a tamed tuso.

Power-wise they are basically the gigas of the sea

When you see one of these, be ready to die.

Be careful getting grabbed near the world border or else the squid can shove your tame through the wall deleting it from existence.

Tuso tame:-

Get full scuba suit set.

Use Lazarus chowder(more oxygen) and fria curry(cold resistance).

Get a water dino preference (megadolon, Ichthyosaurus)

Search for tuso see it's lvl. See it's black pearls needs in dododex.

Then go near tuso with water dino.

Tuso grabs ur dino suddenly u dismount.

Go near tuso mouth. It's a squid if u don't know where it's mouth search it in Google.

(Remember while going near to feed it u must be in 1st person mode and total no. Of black pearls should be in ur last slot of quick draw tab to tame at once)

Now ur tuso is tamed..

Extra tip:-

If tuso grabs a dino, damage them.

Tuso will gain hp more aggressively.. but while grabbing tuso damage reduce to half.

Result u can be see when u grab a alpha and melee them..

That's why it's called alpha killer.

For the person who said they only eat black pearls:they also eat meat.

The reason why it doesn’t have a platform saddle is because it doesn’t have bones or a back. Like if it had a back, it would have a platform saddle because the back can actually carry weight and it has bone to support. But the tuso doesn’t have a back or bones. Imagine you were boneless and you only had arms and a head, and you had to swim with a block of concrete on your face.

How to take a tuso

First you will want to get the following

1. Saddle (unlocked level 91)

2. Creature for tuso to grab (I suggest a carbonemys)

3. Creature to find and kill stuff in area (I suggest basilosuarus)

4. Black pearls tusos eat increments of 50 (to get the pearls you can kill trilobites, kill amonites, kill eurotrapids, or kill tusos. Killing tuso will sometimes give pearls but when it does it will give 25-30. I found kill tusos easiest.

5. Get a full set of scuba gear and extra scuba tanks

Taming it

1. find your tuso they are rare and spawn in the deepest part of the sea.

2. Swim up to it and let it grab your carbonemys. Make sure your tames are on passive during this process so they don’t kill the tuso.

3. Dismount your carbonemys and swim towards its mouth and feed it 50 black pearls.

4. It may need more feedings in which case you will want to level your carbonemys health and bring several of them with you. The tuso will not let go of the carbonemys after it being fed and may kill it although it will let go over time. Repeat process until tamed.

5. Saddle up and enjoy your tame!

Usage when tamed

1. Can spray ink to blind enemy dinos. Will also give it a speed buff when used

2. Immune to jellyfish and eel attacks

3. Can grab and knockout Dino’s

4. When grabbing you can use a high damage crush attack instead

5. Good stamina health weight and dps and speed

Be extra careful around them, when exploring the sea caves, as they can grapple your dino (even your mosasaurus).

OK so for those of you actually looking for tips.

1: it can eat 50 at a time so take 50 with you each time.

2: it hold mounts only for a little bit so if you can, just hop back on the turtle quickly and swim away till the next feeding

3: once you tame it beware manta s and anglers as the tuso cannot hit them while they glitch into the head of the squid. It's not that hard if you prepare to lose everything and keep trying. It's worth it once you do but you will need escorts to help with mantis and anglers such as megaladons.
